    Wind Rivers Beta, please (NSR)

We're planning a trip up to the Wind Rivers over Labor Day weekend; getting to the Big Sandy area by Friday night, then heading towards the Cirque of the Towers for a 2 night backpack, then back to Big Sandy/SLC on Monday.

Anyone been up there recently? The last TR's on here are from 7/4 or so. I'm wondering about the mosquitoes, and any other current beta on the area. I know there are dozens of lakes, is it worth bringing fishing gear (in other words, can we catch dinner, or at least an appetizer?)

    Thanks!

    Mr, Baron,
A guy I work with just got back, said the recent cold spells mitigated the mosquito problem. He also mentioned the fishing was excellent and ate trout almost every night. My 0.02$

Grave Lake is in that area and has some phatties swimming around at all times. And there are even nice white sandy beaches on one end of the lake.

Maybe check w/WDOT on road construction. A buddy at work said it took seven hrs to return to SLC recently due to road work closing things down to one lane several places near Kemmerer.

    Good luck.

3 of my buddies and I are headed up to big sand head this weekend, destination unknown as of yet, I'll be in a tan wrangler, the other vehicle will likely be a blue grand cherokee. One of us will be a obnoxious red head who will scare every living thing within a mile away.

the fishing and views blow, the wind rivers suck
if you don't take a pole you will be sorry
