    Xtra Hots Size Question

As a frame of reference, I'm 6'0", 185lbs and consider myself a pretty damn good skier. I tend to ski the whole mountain and typically experience the wide range of conditions from eastern icepack to deep Utah powder and am looking at the Xtra Hot as a good all-mountain board. This year I'll be spending two weeks in Summit Co. for Christmas break, another 5 days there in January, plus Val D'Isere Mar. 7-14, as well as possible trips to Utah in late March and Vermont in mid-February. Plus, I'll be sticking to the local Virginia hills and Snowshoe when I can sneak away from the law school.

My question is: do y'all think that 175s are too short for me?

In short, yes. I'd go with 185's if you accurately portrayed the type of skier you are in your post. 175 is too damn short. And if you think the 185 is too big a first it'll only push yourself to be a better skier and adapt to a bigger ski. Just my 2/5th of a nickel.

i demoed those last year in a 175 cuz that's all they had. they felt way too short. i think a 185 or 190 could've been a lot of fun.

i'm 5'10" 170 lbs and am a somewhat better than average skier.

    edit: what trainnvain said...demo, goddammit.

true Woodsy, they're real spendy but as it is not on my tab, I'm not as concerned. Plus, I'm pretty sure I know what to do with them. And, while a quite little blow would be nice, I think I'll do without.

Thanks for the input y'all, I figure I'll demo 'em and make sure I get what I want.
