Why do my photos appear sideways?

...all the time. Whether pics in a thread, change avatar....every one downloaded from phone comes out sideways??

If you take pictures in portrait mode and upload they always show sideways. But, if you edit the phot, like cropping a bit of height, they load correctly.

^^^ Cropping the photo when editing corrects the sideways image for me ^^^
