Yep - College Gameday comes on at 5:30pm, and the game is on ESPN at 6. I'll be watching that one too.

Man, did that super-suck. AZ tonight couldn't even do basic fundamental football as far as blocking, passing or receiving were concerned, at least not on a consistent basis.

When your defense has had a very tough time all game stoping the other team ,which has out gained you by more than 100 total yards for the game, you don't punt the ball back to them with 3:09 left when you have a 4th & 2 on your 40 yard line.

That was some A-number one sucky-sucky coaching.

Dude, Viva, you should be a coach. We beat ourselves (see the final score?) and crappy or not, this game is some serious motivation/encouragment for the season ahead.

The 4th quarter just started in Pittsburgh. I don't see anybody in the stands. Are you one of the "faithful," PaSucks?

MSU fortunately didn't pull a "Rutgers" today and beat up on some patsies. Drew Stanton -- 22/29, 357 all-purpose yards. Not bad, kid.

I still stand by this comment. If pitt's O line improves a little, and the D line improves a lot, they are a great team. If not, last night will happen every week.

Well. Weiss has made me optimistic. I don't remember the last time I saw an ND offense move the ball at will . Unfortunately, their schedule is so tough I don't think they'll get through without at least a couple of losses. Scheduling 3 out of the top 4 teams in the preseason polls is a little scary. I'd love to see them kick some wolverine ass next weekend. That ND Michigan game is always one of the best most hard fought in the nation. I see the Michigan game as a huge opportunity for ND. If they can win then they'll be vaulted up the rankings and gain a ton of confidence. A victory vs Michigan will make them much tougher through the rest of the season.

On to the Utes. The first game has made me mildly optimistic. The defense wasn't as strong as I'd hoped, and there were too many penalties (I'll excuse this as first game jitters and nerves). The new QB was better than I expected and I was pleased to see them run some of the Urban Meyer option schemes that were so successful last year. All of a sudden TCU is looking a little bigger on the radar than I expected. Another undefeated season seems highly doubtful but I still think they should win the conference. A conference win and smashing the shit out of BYU will still be a successful season.

Now the big hypothetical. Say Utah does the unexpected and does go undefeated this year. Will they get a shot at the title? Their argument would certainly be strong but I don't see all the Trev Alberts (what a cock) who can't get off the major conferences nuts giving them a chance. What say ye?

My vocal chords feel like they were held underneath a blow torch.

Utes looked good in the second and third quarters. I can't believe Brian johnson is only a teenager. Quinton is the man.

Can't wait for next week. Miami/FSU = hatred

Was it just me, or did Pitt look awfully slow on D.? Michigan ought to provide a more worthy challenge to Neuter Dame.

Miami vs. FSU = crappy offensive performances.

This just in Notre Dame totally dominates the Wolverines.
