Just got back from the Outer Banks and probably my favorite NSR thread of the year is here! (Besides titty threads of course)

Big Sugar, next Saturday on the North Shore is going to be nuts. Game Day will be at Hienz Field for the first time in several years and the game has been sold out for a long ass time. I can't remember the last time Pitt didn't play a cream puff on opening day. Pitt could really impress some people this year. They have a preaseason butkis award canidate in HB Blades, what has been called the best CB tandem in the country, a top ten QB and a top ten wideout. If the lines can find chemistry they will be tough to beat, if not, they will lose at least 2 and maybe as many as 4 games.

What is the word on Notre Dame? I haven't watched TV in a while so I am out of the loop.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Notre Dame...........Weis is supposed to be one of the best offensive minds in football, and with what he was able to accomplish in New England, I can't help but feel hopeful.

Plus he's a tough like a bulldog, were as Willingham kind of babied the players (it seemed that way anyhow). I think he will be the next great ND coach, up with Holtz, Parseghian, and Leahy. I really do. Like anything else it will take time though. So this year is a big question mark in my mind.

By the way, I just found out that I'm going to ND vs USC , which is gonna be a blast.
    Looking California, feeling Minnesota.

You won't be saying that in a few years when your beloved spartans have to play the Panthers. What kind of name is Spartan anyways? At least USC's mascot has a condem named after it.

In related news, I live directly across the street from the Golden Gophers' practice field. I get to watch them practice every morning as I walk to my car to go to work. I get to hear the band practice and warm up every Saturday morning at 10:00am as well. It's pretty sweet. Someone want to fucking touch me?

    Amen to that!

Question is, does CU have enough in the pocketbooks to make such a hire? I know the regulations through the state of Colorado as far as hiring state employees makes it difficult to offer a multi-year contracts exceeding $1mil
article on that in the Denver Post a few years ago.

Was trying to get to the Miami game, but looks like I won't be able to make that one. Maybe the T A&M game at Folsom? Could be doable and within reach of a Buff's win.

    I'm seething with jealousy.

I'm also looking forward to the day again when SC and ND face off while being #1 & #2. I'll never forget being at that game in 88.

    LET'S GO IRISH!!!

Any Utah mags out there wanna take me up on a friendly bet? Arizona over Utah on Sept. 2, but you gotta give me points (of course). Let's see how the line shakes out. How 'bout a cold pitcher at some yet to be determined time and location in the future?

Bear Down and let's go PAC 10!

Wow, you were at that game? That's cool. I'm pretty sure that my head would have exploded.

I'm getting excited......I get pretty anxious on Saturdays, no matter who they are playing....I was brought up that way.

edit: PaSucks, do you go to Pitt?
