Thanks all. It hasn’t really sunken in yet. The first of the 3 was just extricated and identified. Gonna do my best to stay out of the internet comments.

Shitty. Presuming, based on age of them, there are a lot of little kids, wives, girlfriends, sister, brothers, parents left behind. And of course all the good friends, co-workers and more.

Sorry for your losses guys/gals on this board and everyone else close to them. I'm sure they had reasons for making their calls to ski what they did but unfortunately we are all only human and make mistakes sometimes, even fatal ones.

I've seen some pretty lame and unnecessary judgemental comments on the social medias. It's pretty easy to be completely disconnected from a community, friends and families to those involved and post up stupid and harmful shit. Lets all be better than that.

So Sorry DaHeel. Hearing about the victims through friends of friends and they all sounded like great people.

    Fucking sucks. So bad.

AM heli mitigation of the area produced significant results. A natural D3 struck Ophir Pass Road below the accident site during recovery operations today and precipitated suspension of ops.

Good day to smoke pot and make soup.

This is fucking terrible. Horrible. Godspeed to the victims, and the largest feelings of sympathy for the families and all of Eagle County.

the slide on the left in sfotex's 2nd pic is the result of mitigation

the pics from caic (or helitrax) show the original slide (maybe, i see bombholes to the right so who knows)

Thanks Jax. I wish I knew what to do with this. Anger, confusion and sadness are what the community is dealing with now.
