    SF ski jump canceled

    Um ya so it was canceled cause rich hippies are a bitch...........

    That's too bad. I have to say as an event planner, while I'd probably be breathing a sigh of relief that it was called off (If I were the one planning the wedding), I would never advocate that another event get cancelled so that mine was a success. That's just lame, and it's part of this business. Definitely money talking in this situation.

    I'm wondering what else factored in. Safety has got to be a huge issue. They should consider a different part of town - maybe Potero Hill, where the neighbors would likely have welcomed this a bit more.

    Too bad - I was really looking forward to seeing it! Think those of us that made our Saturday plans around this get to go to the wedding instead ?
