Seems like some Loc-Tite oughta keep it on there. If you might ever have to get it off use the blue, otherwise the red is stronger.

Danno I think your cheapest option is USPS Parcel Post but it can take a while to get there.

    TR: because they're poisonous, duh.

"The answer turns out to be a wide combination of factors, all of which together add up to turkey producers pretty much deciding not to bother entering the egg market. For one thing, turkeys lay eggs much less frequently than other birds; a chicken or a duck lays about one egg per day, but a turkey lays at most about two per week. Turkeys are also more expensive to raise in a factory setting, requiring much more space and food than a chicken.

Even worse, turkeys are slow to start laying. “Turkeys have a longer life cycle so they need to get to about 7 months before they are able to produce laying eggs,” says Kimmon Williams of the National Turkey Federation. Chickens only have to reach about 5 months – may not seem like much, but given that turkeys are also more expensive to house and feed, those extra few months can be costly.

Because of the cost of production and scarcity, turkey eggs tend to be quite a bit more expensive, usually around $3/egg – about as much as two dozen commodity chicken eggs. That means that a fertilized egg is much more valuable than an egg for human consumption; it just makes more sense to breed more turkeys than to sell their eggs."

I can maybe make it slightly smaller but not by much.
Pirate ship might save you a few dollars? They offer discounts on USPS and UPS shipments (not FedEx though)

That’s been my go-to the past year and the website is better than USPS, UPS etc

Maybe hockey tape instead of the electrical tape over the threads before installing the basket? The coarse fabric might provide enough ‘grit’ to keep it from spinning, and is a bit thicker.

Are there any automated carwashes that work when you have a cargo box on the roof? Or do you have to go to a self-serve place?

Stupid new white car. (I didn't want white, but in the used car market you take what you can find)

The touchless / brushless ones work.

They just scan your car and spray water jets.

You just need to make sure it meets the max height of the car washer.

My reading of the announcement was that they'd be providing "limited" advertising (commercials), with no mention of paying to opt out. They're doing an excellent job of boiling the frogs subscribed to Prime, and it annoys me that I'm probably just going to put up with it because despite slower shipping on many items and commercials, it's still convenient.

$2.99/mo to upgrade to ad-free. If you could lock in at the rate long-term I'd be pretty tempted, but there's nothing to indicate that so far so I think I'll wait and see how obnoxious the ads are. Prime is still a pretty good deal for what you get.

We watched a movie on Amazon last night. Way too many commercials, way too often.
The mute button got a serious workout.

Doing some cleanup at my parents house. Mom likes re-using old containers to store grains and other stuff, and much of it has no label. She doesn't know what this is, nor do I. Anyone out there know? It's about 1/2" long. In with other containers of pasta.
