IMO the only thing that is poor form with a cart is leaving it to drift about the parking lot cause you're too much of a lazy shit to take it back to one of many collection spots. Fuck the people who do that with a barbed stick. May they get taken out by an errant cart while walking to their car, and if that fails may their car get dinged by and errant cart.

A well timed “are you seriously that lazy you’re going to leave it right there?” works damn near every time.
The look on their faces is worth the price of admission.

Anybody have a One Wheel? I imagine they have a stigma in some places. There aren’t enough of them here for that to be a thing and I don’t think I’d care. Got a mile and a half between parking and the office and I want an alternative to the bike. In other words, I’ve always wanted one and now finally have a really questionable excuse to get one for my bday.

Is it poor form to leave your shopping cart someplace out of the way (like up against an endcap) at the grocery or costco or whatever while you grab things on the adjacent aisle?

I hope not cause that’s how I’ve done it for years. Only downside is the occasional cart theft by a confused geriatric.

Do a tracert (Windows PC) from a command prompt. It could be DNS (it many times is DNS) and you can also try alternative DNS settingss. Google DNS is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, others include Cloudflare DNS 1.1.1.1 and if it is any different responses.

See you got it resolved, but the tracert is very helpful to know where it drops and fails.

I’m having an appraiser come to the house tomorrow to get the PMI dropped off our mortgage. Right now the house is “have dinner guests over” clean, should it be more like we are getting ready to sell it level of clean and decluttered?

This probably already happened, but again not personally in the appraisal business. However one of my customers is an Appraisal firm and over the years I've done work for other firms also. You are pretty much right that the lender or Appraiser are not going to expect the photos to look fully staged and I've seen photos of plenty of messy and cluttered residences. It also could have been something to ask the Appraiser as they regularly probably get the "I need to clean and straighten up and you can't come until I do" and delay the Appraisal processing. It also depends on the level of Appraisal and purpose- real estate tax appeal, or divorce settlement, or planning on selling or buying the place.

Thanks. Yeah. They came by yesterday. It was to get our PMI dropped, so we just picked up and made it look presentable. They seemed to think it was fine. It helps that both my wife and I are anti clutter in general and have no kids to fuck it all up. Worst part was scooping poop in the rain.

Cant you just write the account number on the endorsement line and paperclip the rest of the checks to the first? My bank is old school, but I still don't have to fill out anymore deposit slips. We don't have the tap thing on our cards yet though.

I knew a guy who had Schwarz' Surgery --all 2000+ pages of a full size textbook--copied into a coat pocket notebook. Impressive that he could write that small. More impressive that he could read it. I wonder if people still buy text books.
