Pumpernickel.
For a second I thought that was a pic of your freezer and I was a little concerned.
Agreed, Raccoons are high on life, and whatever is in your garbage.
Is it stupid to get a new 4Runner? (The answer I’m looking for is ‘No, it’s amazing, will serve you well, and will be a classic’)

I own my last new purchase. All it did is make me love the newness, and then wonder what other rad newness I'm missing out on. Buying new gave me New Car FOMO.
Now I'm hunting for classic again. It's just that with gas prices being where they are, classic is going to cost a fortune to drive everyday. Debating a $6K 1992 M3 right now.
That doesn't answer your question about the 4Runner, though. I think I read that's the best selling vehicle in the world right now.
And the new land cruiser looks dope.
Or, just buy it already mixed…

Besides putting this on the cream cheese on my everything bagel, it also goes great crusted on a pan-seared tuna steak.
Because rich has nothing to do with money.
what do you drive now, what do you like and what do you wish was different? I got a new 4runner in early 22 when the used market was real silly. It's been largely the same for like 10 years, so no mysteries. Some newness is good (proximity key fob, LEDs) some is neutral (carplay, bad adaptive cruise control). Fuel economy is shit and it's slow, but I think it's comfortable and will work for a long time
+1 on the land cruiser though
I think adaptive cruise control is in its infancy and find it annoying. It’s nice as an assistant on long road trips. But the daily use of sensor tech is not yet to the point where we drivers can actually enjoy it.
Hence— I want a classic daily driver.
Also— I’m a modern Honda fanboy. If anyone here thinks their Toyota counterpart is a generation ahead of my experience, I’ll offer a cage fight for charity ala Musk / Zuck.
We’re driving the same tech and I personally don’t like that I spent a few grand on sensors in my late-gen rig.
I do, however, love that I have late-gen AWD and a paddle-shifting, braking transmission at my fingertips. That shit is dope and blows all classic rigs out of the water when descending icy mountain roads.

I like the smart cruise control in my Subaru Impreza.
Do you use it daily, in town, with stop lights?
my wife drives a '21 CR-V hybrid so I guess I'm qualified for this cage match. We put more miles on it because of the fuel-sipping but I like nearly everything about the 4runner better. The 4runner seats are more comfortable, screen/button makes more sense, rear seats fold flat, road noise is much better despite AT tires, roof rack and general boxiness.
one notable win for honda is the cruise control. CRV will go to a stop, 4runner cuts off below 35mph. And I think the CVT helps--4runner can't ever decide if it wants 4th or 5th gear going uphill at cruising speeds.
Define new. Off the showroom floor? And have you been in a dealer recently? I ask because the Toyota forums are complaining about dealer markup shenanigans on pricing with all of the trucks.
If you mean new-to-you lightly used 5th gen mall crawler, then sure, if you can find one for a not stupid price. The sweet spot for "classic" is '17 to '19. Toyota added a bunch of nanny stuff in 20.
