That’s weird. They all have anti idiot valves to keep us from blowing up.

If you open the tank valve while the burners are on it gets triggered. Too much gas too quick makes it sad. No flow.

But yeah. That side screw bleeds off pressure.
They used to do it all the time on fills. Lately. Not so much.
It might help. But put out your smoke first.

I just had a couple tanks filled and there was an issue with the float valve on one due to too fast of a fill and 'stickage'. The guy said sometimes you can tap it free easily, other times 'if he stands on one foot (or other unrelated actions) it unsticks'. Apparently, the valves can be moody and do what they want.

Ugh God I get flashbacks of when my Nissan Rogue had me going up Vail Pass at 10 mph and 5000 rpm cuz if I went over 3500 rpm the damn CVT would slip all the way down.

Oh the panic of going like 70mph... then suddenly your car is driving like it's in first gear... then as you're looking for a pullout, suddenly the battery disconnects as a safety mechanism to keep the engine from exploding.

Why do paid music services like Sirius have such ridiculous repetition?

It's because the royalty payments are tiered. There are mechanical royalties that are paid when an artist sells a CD, download, etc, and then there are performance royalties that are paid when the song is "performed" which has a fairly broad meaning that includes streaming services.

And they're further broken down by writer/composer, and publisher.

Spotify and others negotiate payment deals with their artists (probably through the record company, and probably in batches), but some artists have a lot of clout.

And since most people don't care about the back catalog, the hits cost more.

Source: I used to receive royalties for a few songs I co-wrote, but didn't perform on the recording. The checks were laughably small.

Believe it or not I had a conversation with him about this when he visited Plattekill on his tour. I was on a pair of K2 812s from the 80s and he said he'd had discussions with a sponsor about doing a retro limited series longboard for him. I guess it hasn't come to fruition - or else he was just humoring a fan.

I find that comment somewhat amusing because I'm pretty lazy.

The story is that I played in an "original" (i.e. didn't play covers) punk band in college. After we called it quits, one of the guys took some of our unfinished stuff, and worked it into new songs, formed a new band, recorded them (and others), and eventually some were played on college and "alternative" commercial radio.

Since I was of no fixed address for much of my 20s, the (paper) checks were mailed to my parents house. I recycled a variant of the same joke every time. "Seven dollars today, seven million tomorrow!" Being the early 90s, those songs simply don't exist today. They didn't even survive long enough to get on napster.

I understand I'm a sample size of 1, but I'm pretty on the fence about buying a subscription. I had one for a decade when it was XM, but I actually think it's worse now on repetition. Multiply that by a few hundred thousand potential subscribers and seems like it might make sense to buy a few extra songs?

Speaking of which, new question to anyone: for xm/Sirius, better to take the extra 3 months free promo, or the $5 a month for a year promo? Do you get that after the extra 3 months free?
