We're going to do a 178 as soon as we can. We had a potential investor who was going to finance them, but his partner didn't want to, so he declined. As soon as we sell enough 188's, we'll send the 178's to production. The engineering on them is almost done, then we need to test some protos to make certain we're putting out the best possible product. We'll let everyone know as we get closer to making them.

Make sure to send me a few of those shortie prototypes. Me being short and light I'd be a perfect tester for these

    Shit. Damn it.

Well thanks a goddamn bunch. After a year of lurking and reading, I just bought a pair of stiff Bros. Had you not fixed the PM Gear button, I would not have been forced after several beers, a Red Robin burger, and my 16 year old's birthday cake, to give in and buy. I've never seen these at Schweitzer, but I guess I'll see them now. Now I might have to sell my Stockli DPs.

Anybody have the link to that lengthy thread re mounting Bros? And /or the other lengthy one about prepping and tuning them (aspen vs. fir vs. pergo, etc.)? I can't wait. Last season was an aberration. I just know it.

2 degree edge bevel, 1 degree base, and it's a good idea to get them ground right off by a shop (the bases are untuned from the factory). There will be a line to mount them on, though some people have had luck moving forward and backward with the mounting point (I like mine on the line). Welcome to the family, you won't regret it.

You're on the list and will get them as soon as the factory has finished production - which is slated for September 26.
So we'll be shipping in October.
So did production finish as expected? It is going to be 36 here tonight, my bindings are in, I will be bending the brakes this Saturday, all I need are my Bro's!

The CNC at the factory broke down for ten days, so we're behind schedule....
I am currently on the phone engaged in some serial ball-busting and will have a definitive answer soon.
