For me they do fine in the trees as well, light enough to swing around in tighter spots and dreamy to ski in well spaced trees. Definitly go with the stiffie, the softs that I flexed made me think they might not hold well on firm EC snow. and this is coming from a guy that might weigh less than phunk. So I really don't see a reason not to get them for them for EC skiing as long as you intend on skiing where there might actually be a pow day every now and then.

Is a 99 waisted ski overkill for the east, maybe, but who cares they are fun to ski on almost anything the east serves up?

oh and Crash can kiss my ass for that "Vinman is really small" comment.

buy a Smuggs pass mang. Bill said he would if you do.

Thanks Vinman! I do believe that as soon as the button is fixed I will be ordering some stiff Bro's.

I could buy a Smuggs pass and ski at Stowe 3 or 4 weekends for the same price as a Stowe pass. I want to do more touring anyways and I will be somewhere more westerly for 2-3 weeks...

I don't know what to do.

tough one, kind of a toss up if you ask me. Both have good trees and lift served hikes for pow as well as access to hikes in the notch on. Stowe might have the edge on the gnar factor and the faster lifts. Smuggs prolly has the edge on in bounds trees and inbounds terrain. Fuck it buy both you've got a good job now.

I should just get a Smuggs pass... I'm not sure what I'm so confused about. Even if I skied in NY, it'd be better than the last 16 or so years.

Thank you to those of you who have ordered since the link went up.
You're on the list and will get them as soon as the factory has finished production - which is slated for September 26.
So we'll be shipping in October.

would the soft bro version be stiffer than my K2 lawnchairs?.....or would i be better off with the stiff flex? me be 6-3, 185lbs. i have the 181 K2 AK's here on the east coast, looking to go with a stiffer board but still be manageable thru the trees.

Sure are. I'm getting the 1st pair next week. Proably take them to that 3,000 ft. of vert still hangin on Shasta. (Vets, Shoe, ready to camp?) I was supposed to get them this week, but the router head on the cnc at the factory had to be replaced and set things back a couple days. It's fixed and cores are being shaped without hanging up the schedule.

splat, what is this i hear of new lengths comming out mid-season? I saw Vin and Schuss on them at the summit last year but i still think a 188 is a little too long for me (5'7" 150)...............
