Things that decidedly do NOT suck

    1. Beer, you knew that I hope but damn, beer is so good. Tastey, refreshing and makes you do funny things. Drinking one now matter of fact.

    2. The fucking death end of summer. Dat bitch's back is broke. Cool nights, see your breath, not burly hot days and rain and stuff.

    3. Tuning skis. Whoever invented this fine, fine, MIGHTY FINE passtime:

I just finished up the Arnos and the Big Daddys. Ohhhh sparkely. Probably blew a solid 3 3.5 hours working on that today (ummm and see number one and stuff)

    4. Shop space. Ohhh yeah, having a full 8'x4' bench to dork around and tune skis, work on stuff, clean guns, press apples etc... etc.. etc... I heart my bench. Now I just need shit rewired so I have overhead heat, more light and a couple of outlets that are not still using the very old style screw type fuses.

    5. Dogs, yeah, dogs. Got mine and a loaner this w/e, shit that'll make your life happy is a dog. Notice: dogs pulling you uphills on hikes is good, downhill, not so much.

    6. ummmm that's all for right now.

    Things that suck:
being fucking home alone cause your old lady left a week before you did to hang out with her 'rents. whoda thunk that I of all people would be all missin her and shit? Hmmmmmm.

    Oh yeah:
    7. Diesel trucks. Those totaly don't suck a bit, especially 4wd Fords.

It was a pretty good ride

An afternoon spent with your kids has got to rank up there as one of those things that doesn't suck

And yup, a good cold beer definitely does not suck either.

Heh, I have the same opener. It kinda reminds me of that old Busch Beer commercial when the whispery voice says, "Buuuuuusssssccccchhhh....." when the cowboy cracks open an ice cold Busch.

Gotta agree with LB on the bench and ski tuning. Great passtime indeed. Nothing like throwin' a few back while scraping off a fresh coating of hot wax. Can't beat the aroma after a wax session.

-Standing atop a mountain with your kids and having them point out lines that thay are gonna rip this winter. And then having my 10 year old tell my 7 year old that his line selection wasn't safe from an avy standpoint. Almost brought a tear to my eye.

-Going in to work in the morning and having coffee with the off-going crew.

-Being on the off-going crew the next morning.

-Laying down to sleep when you are really, really tired.

Things that don't suck (rad things):

    1. My boyfriend. Legoskier, you are THE MANG!!! Had a FKNA rad housewarming party last night, and he cooked up stuff so good, you'd HAVE to slap your grandma upside the head. It wasn't southern cooking, but he whipped out to-die-for thai style chicken skewers with homemade peanut sauce, mango and shrimp & shitake veggie spring rolls, ahi tuna wrapped in bamboo leaves - then grilled, buffalo and elk burgers, and the encore = rosemary & olive oil glazed salmon grilled to perfection. I love this man, he's MY rad guy!!

    2. My friends. Nearly every single person who I wanted to show up last night, did. My friends from college, and some newer friends who I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times. I am SO lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. Granted, we fed them and gave them beer + a place to sleep, but they're my lifelong friends and I can't thank them enough for driving up here yesterday. My three best college girlfriends were there, they mean so much to me!

    3. Dogs. Viva brought his dog, and although he bit me in the face (literally) the first night, his dog, a border collie, and I became fast friends these past couple of days.

    4. Everyone at the BBQ last night. Every single person made that night what it was - absolutelyfuckingawesome. Good vibes, good people. Oh, and the inner-tubing didn't suck, either.
