Hard to get past Utah when you live in NH, your mtns look incredible, but the ease of SLC will always draw me in.

I bet that provides for some interesting skiing. I'm sure I would have been a few beers deep by then.

10am Wednesday the 28th is when reservations are been taken for closing day. You’re going to have to pick up your tickets and parking pass at West before going to Alpental

Seems like a lot extra administrative and enforcement burden for staff and some hurdles for pass holders for couple days of wet spring skiing.

Are they expecting the entire pugetopolis to descend upon Alpental this weekend?

I would think season pass holders only would of done the trick.

I don’t manage ski hills so I’m sure there is a reason but seems kinda stupid to me as a lowly dental hygienist.

I also thought it was interesting that Baker was planning on having Cinco be their closing day, and it looks like they backed off as well, with their closing day being Sunday too.

Curious on what value the summit will have for caps total reservations...

I was told a cap at 1500 tickets/day. Scarcity creates demand?

I’d hate to be the Alpental employee turning back all the cars at lot 1 without their parking permit.

If they hire that guy, does that make us all Jerrys?

I’ve been around a couple times. Alpental summer solstice hot boxing top of chair 2 lift shack. Couple BBI lot visits. Think I met you once top of chair 6 at Crystal, we were all manually grooming the course on a less than ideal day with huge smiles.

    I’m antisocial usually. Haha.

I’m trying to get a reservation Sunday I guess. Will post up if successful.

Pass holder survey just hit inboxes. Now is your time to give feedback. Here's my wish list that I gave.

    1. Discounted Ikon Base passes for Summit pass holders. Most non-Alterra resorts get them. We should at least get some benefit for the pain inflicted. They gave me a flat, NO last time I asked about it.
    2. Alpental nights back to 10pm close. And keep night skiing open longer.
    3. Keep pass parking check at Alpental, but increase parking attendants actually in the lot directing traffic. So many wasted spots by crappy parking.
    4. Flexible days around powder. Open East on a Wednesday or Thursday if there's been a big dump. One of my favorite days ever was a random East powder Thursday they announced the night before.
    5. MTB as top summer activity.

They are definitely looking into on mountain lodging/amenities.

    Number 3 for sure!

Here's my list ill be submitting tonight:

Better food choices at the hill: would be sick for a food truck or two at some of the lots, with a calendar of whos got what and where. However, I heard there are permitting issues with that... Maybe a hotdog stand between chair 1 and 2?

Increased pay for pro patrol, and increased benefits for volley's. Those guys do a ton of work for the whole area, and have lost quite a bit since Boyne took over.

Flexible days for uphill access at Alpy. If conditions are stable and control work isnt needed on days they're not open, it would be awesome to get some laps in.

Good ideas for suggestions, I never thought about mentioning hot dogs or handjobs.

It does seem a bit convoluted how they are going about this weekend, based on the weather forecast it probably won't be a problem with all the masses coming up, but who knows.

I want to meet ak too. Although I'd have high expectations of him keeping me entertained on the lift so maybe he'd disappoint me.
