Thanks. I may need to take over your screen name, as I feel like a jong on this.

Anyone have an unused ticket from last season to unload? I secured a reservation for Friday, but if you happen to also have a Thursday reservation not to be used...I'd take that off your hands and cancel Friday's reso! No lift tickets available until next week obviously.

    Thanks again.

Skied fast, firm groomers at Stevens last night. Place was a ghost town. No lines after about 6:30...literally ski on to every lift. Such a change from the holiday pandemonium crowds during the day.

Traffic coming home was terrible. We left at the mountain at 7:30 and got stuck in traffic at Zeke’s coming back towards Gold Bar. Traffic more or less crawled all the way to the last stop light in Sultan. Used to this headed west on Hwy 2 on a Sunday afternoon in the summer, but this was a new experience for so late in the evening during winter. Maybe it was Leavenworth traffic headed back to the west side? Weird.

We left the summit around 4:30 yesterday and had way higher volume than normal on 90 including a slow down between north bend and hwy 18. I think a lot of xmas travelers.

Thanks to the gent who rescued my snowboard off the interstate and tracked me down. Miraculously 3 skis stayed on. First time in 25 years that happened...and hopefully the last.

How are the groomer zoomers at Steven’s compared to Crystal?

Outside of FQ, I’ve found the groomers to be a bit lacking at Crystal and I’d like to get my lady friend out for some fun intermediates.

The groomers at Alpental have been hilariously Alptentalic recently. I bet groomers everywhere for the next week will be soft yet bumpfilled by 11am.

Better late than never... Stoke was all time on Sunday. First laps with my biggest little brother since he was life flighted out of the Olympics with a broken hip, femur, and patella in a snowboard accident earlier this year. First laps with my smallest little brother on his new skis/bindings that we mounted together at the beginning of the season. So fun to watch his progression. Middle little bro home from college, sisters home from the four corners of the globe. Yewww!

Couple inches of fresh on packed, lots of wind scoring/deposit. Saw a kid fall off basin quad shortly after departure... fell 10-15 ft. His dad tried to save him but couldn't hold on? He was somehow unhurt and collecting fist bumps at the top. Fun to play in someone else's backyard for a day. Back to the i90 sled hill for me!

Fast groomers in the morning, and north facing aspects held decent snow with no lines on 6 or Northway. The best part was some of the prettiest overcast gray light I've seen. Now time for a reset!

Hey Bandit Man, or anyone else who knows, how does one make a reservation for night skiing at Stevens? The next several days have full reservations, but we all know night skiing is usually a ghost town up there, even on weekends.

I literally just googled Steven's past night skiing, clicked on the first link, and was directed appropriately. I'd try that.

And you are correct, ghost town Sunday night

ski on ski off for 6 hours.

Guessing you mean as a passholder? Apparently just go up to the window and they'll take care of you, they're aware of this "feature." Ticket window person told me that, but I've yet to test it out.

Apparently there’s a bomb threat in Leavenworth right now with evacuations

Heads up if you’re planning to tour the Washington Pass area:

Some areas closed to snowmobile access.

I'm still waiting for the invite....

Kidding, you probably assumed my plate is full this week. Damn, wish I could go though.

So I asked about Stevens night skiing reservations for passholders. Until now I've thought Vail Corp. was handling the challenges of this season quite well. This situation however is an abject failure:

"Thank you for reaching out to us today. We know night skiing is very important to our guests. We are aware of an issue that is currently allowing Night Ski lift tickets to be purchased but not allowing pass holders to make reservations with their passes if the date is already sold out. We are working to resolve this issue, so pass holders will continue to have first priority in our reservation system.

For now, if you are unable to make a Night Skiing reservation to ski on the day that you wish, please purchase a Night Skiing lift ticket online here:

    https://www.stevenspass.com/the-moun...nd-riding.aspx

After you are finished skiing for the evening you can stop by the season pass office to receive a refund. Please note that Night Skiing begins at 4pm.

We thank you for your patience as we work toward improving our new systems and processes."
