That looks pretty rowdy. Looks like some light mountaineering to get to the start gate!
Worse than it looks even. Was just there earlier this week. Rock hard refrozen and windscoured. Curious to see how the competitors will ski it.

According to a venue inspection video posted by FWT today conditions looked pretty decent albeit thin. Old pow with a nice consistency down the face is what they were saying.
I’ll say it again, if this is a go I really hope the field throttles down and everyone goes home unscathed.

I think she brings up good points about creativity. Its like a totally new, ultra gnar venue with decent snow. Should be a great show. Im already worried for Aymar. He'll probably try and gap the whole face.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about some of the young freestylers too... a few of those crashes at Fieberbrunn could have been a lot worse (like Chabloz's first run).

    Oof. Also, fucking insurance companies.
The words 'shattered skull' are super uncomfortable and they keep playing in my thoughts. Poor kid, what her family must be going through. Hopefully a cautionary tale headed for riders on the Bec and beyond.

Interesting, I guess that part of the Bec is much more wind protected, as Besse says. Excited to see it!

Shouldn’t happen with a decent helmet. Wonder what happened. Did she lost her helmet or something?

Congrats to Sybille. Her emotions tell the whole story. And seriously, her first time on that face and she skied like that? Major props.

Jack Nichols throwing a back on his first run on the Bec? Nuts.

I was worried about Maxime entering this comp. Oops... my bad.

How do you do that? How do you just show up and do that?

I'm now really curious as to what the veterans are going to throw down.

Shiiit, Aymar went down hard. Not a good sign seeing him sliding motionless down the face.

I was pissed off at Heitz during his 100mph tour. And Aymar is just recycling that.

Go home. This isn't what we're doing here. Your style doesn't work in the professional, competitive scene where we have to consider safety.

I hope I don't see Aymar ski again in a comp. Which is tragic. I said the same of Heitz. You guys are just going straight until you die. Go home.

    He's alive.
Some really close calls befire. Tester nearly dropped on someone.
Slemmet barkered and turdell Fall making turns.

    Simply no competion conditions.

I like navarro and Heitz, but only in good conditions where you don't die if you make a mistake.

That's it. Those guys who don't know how to tone it down when conditions aren't right have no place in this arena. So amateur. Stop making me watch people ski into walls.

Super blown away at Maxime's season. Who is this guy? He just schooled the entire sport.

Bye-Bye Aymar and Heitz-like old-school theories that you might win if you just go straight and survive.

It's ironic, or weird, because both Heitz and Aymar were among my favorites until I discovered that they didn't know how to slow down.

So many world-class athletes fade away at their own abuse. It's sad.
