From my dad a little bit ago:

“Walking around depressed, anxious, uptight, with a sense of impending doom. Must be Browns game day.”

    Perfect.

Well after the turn overs and all the impending doom definitely applied to that the team today. Got home and they were sort of still in it until the Houston Defense ran better routes than the Cleveland receivers.

No Flacco vs Ravens revenge game for this year's playoffs.

Somehow I think the narrative where Baker Mayfield progresses further in the playoffs than the team that dumped him for the predator is a kinda poetic justice. Also, with Houston advancing as well, it's double karma.

Unfortunately Flacco and Browns fans are the collateral damage.

Fucking painful. For the record, all BMills and I wanted was Baker for our QB. That’s all we asked for.

Apparently that was too much to ask.

I always liked Baker. He looked possessed tonight. Detroit watch out!

Goff has his own redemption arc, after beating the Lambs.

I even bought into the narrative that Goff was just McVay's puppet that got figured out.

Good to see him getting that monkey off his back. Plus he's the only remaining Cal QB in the NFL I can root for.

Trading away Baker to throw a quarter billion at a sex offender to get blown out by the team you sent all your draft capital to while watching Baker play like top shelf Baker is basically the most Browns thing that could ever happen.

I don’t know how you all still do it as fans, tbh.

You glossed over “while not actually having said sex offender available to play and having to rely on the reanimated corpse of Joe Flacco who will give you just enough hope to keep you going”

It's for all the moments like that. Show me another team that can find so many new and fascinating ways to grab defeat and crush the will of their fans year in, year out. I'll wait.

Gosh, the fans of morally pure football teams really know how to rub it in.

Well we finally got rid of our cheating coach and cheating former QB, and we tend to fire people almost as soon as we know they’ve murdered someone.

Hey, as far as the spectrum of these things run, “almost” is preferable to “we built him a giant fucking statue outside the stadium”

Moral ambiguity really is a sliding scale in the NFL.

Androgynous NFL has kind of a Bowie ring to it.
