I had hopes for that movie, too.

What the **** is it with people casting and watching Keanu? It's like his brain was Botoxed just as hard as his forehead...he has no facial expressions and no emotion. No matter what is in the scene, Keanu just stands there looking vaguely bewildered, like a Special Needs student asked to recite the multiplication tables.

Don't be ashamed. I started TiVo-ing it this season since it gets such amazing reviews and I wanted to see what's up. I finally watched my first episode last night...

That show is fucking INTENSE. Reallyreallyreally cool.

Yes! That is such a good movie that didn't get much credit. Thanks for popping that back in my head.

And Tippster, glad I am not the only one enjoying that show. It is pretty badass.

    mmmmkay...
    - star wars hexology (ranked - jedi, hope, empire/revenge, clones, phantom)
    - bit of a trekkie too. I really liked Enterprise, and was bummed Paramount killed off that show. Paramount's management is a bunch of fuckups without a clue. I've also enjoyed just about every movie, except for V - the final frontier, that movie was junk. Later seasons of DS9 got decent once they got the war going. Will Riker & deanna troi were the worst things to happen to TNG and the other series they have leaked off into - the Enterprise finale was junk because of them, they completely took the focus off of a bunch of people who deserved the fanfare and respect for what they'd pulled off on their own over 4 years; instead, because of Rick Berman and Paramount, we got an attempt to kiss the asses of the old TNG-generation fanbase, and killing off a major character pointlessly. Dumb.
    - LOTR expanded trilogy. Wow. Wish Jackson would re-do the Hobbit as well.
    - Alien Quintology (ranked - Aliens, Alien, Alien 3, AVP, and Resurrection)
    - I really liked Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick.
    - Starship Poopers. I got this movie too. Believe it or not, they got the military gender integration thing down right too.
    - 5th Element was pretty good
    - the Hobbit cartoon movie was really good
    - Conan movies, along w/ Red Sonja

let me just preface my list by fully acknowledging that I have crappy taste in movies. That being said, here are some of my faves that ....

Resident Evil (the second one) because chicks kicking ass is pretty great
Contact (can't help it, I dig it)
Logans Run - because it scared the crap out of me when I was little
    2001 - just amazing
    the first three Star Wars
Close Encounters of the Third Kind (loved that when I was little)

The Labrynth (David fucking Bowe in stretch pants!)
The Neverending Story (just looked it up: her name is Tami Stronach and she is a dancer. God I had the hugest crush on that girl when I was a kid.)
Harry Potter (all of em. Much better that those rediculous books)
Hitchhiker's Guide (I know I'm not supposed to, but I thought it was great.)
    Flight of the Navigator
Minority Report (let it be known that I would kick Tommy C. in the nuts if I saw him in the streets)
    The Princess Bride
Batman Returns (has the potential to be a classic IMO)
    The Dark Crystal

SO many others. I'm just going to add one more...probably the best movie ever made:
    ENCINO MAN!
You look like I need a drink.

He so goes off to the right.

The fact that I remember that from like 6th grade is really, really disturbing.
