Anyone checked in on m27 today? He’s got some moving water behind his house that’s got to be running super high.

Cars covered in mud and debris scattered along the sides of roads this morning was interesting. There are lots of places where you can see the water was running over the roads, some are cracked and buckled. There are also lots of places where debris and mud piled up and they're using all sorts of heavy equipment to clear it, and lots of trees that were cut quickly so people could get out for work this morning. Now the sun is gonna come out and it'll be a swamp-ass fest for a few days. Yay fun.
Good to hear. Looks like things were moving quickly over the 4th!

Holy shit, Londonderry, Ludlow & Weston VT all underwater - exactly where we were last week. Quaint towns one day, disaster areas the next - mother nature can be a beeotch...
But there's good news too, big Price Chop on Wrench - 12packs for $20

I was at our house in Londonderry yesterday afternoon. Rivers were high but didn't seem like disaster was imminent. Check out page 108 and 109 on the ECRC for some pics. Our house is in a good spot although I don't think I can get to it right now.
I was there after spending the weekend in Plattsburgh for the Mayor's Cup sailboat races. So upstate related...
Yikes. And nor’easter/hurricane season hasn’t started yet.
Maybe this flood line is the true, one and only, upstate line?
The Truth Is Out There.
And they don't call it the Catamount Trail in VT for no reason.

There's a history of early July flooding in VT. It happens around July 4th +/- if it's gonna happen. My Dad was on the Williston VFD in '84 for the Amtrak crash. I helped out at the station with cleaning and sorting gear, packing food, other miscellaneous logistics stuff. It started the night before with the department up all night sandbagging and pumping basements for home owners. A few houses caved in. It's not surprising that the train track washed out in that spot.
Geez the pics are insane. Stay safe up there Mags.

Check out the propane tank motor boating thru Londonderry.
Motorboating is best when done to female mammalian protruberances.
There's a sub joke in there somewhere.

Nothing like a good motorboat into a canal dive
Why don't you get in position now and take a deep breath, because this water is very, very cold, but it's goin' to be so stimulating.
And Mary's the kind of Red-Blooded American Girl who'll do anything...
