They do have new owners.... they just reopened a few weeks ago, they didn’t really adapt to the current situation like the rest of the stores in town.

It’s about a mile from my house, I’ll maybe eat there once a year. Maybe. It’s a greasy spoon. Good after a long hike or for a hungover greasy breakfast to soak up some booze.

We had a bunch of house guests last week and bought a few pies, the pies are still legit. And apparently they ship their pies across the us.

If any of you fellas are in KV hiking, I can provide free parking near the garden trailhead. Carry on with the upstate shenanigans

We may have covered this before but I prefer the Roscoe Diner. Of course, given what we’ve seen here so far, there’s probably some maniac getting ready to tell us the Catskills are downstate.

The Phoenicia diner is full on legit! Thanks for that recommendation when we were up there. Even had great cocktails.

Noonmark...I haven’t been there in 10 years plus at this point. No idea, just old, good memories.

Just an opinion, I've always thought central NY was Rt 17 turning west (Hancock-ish) through Corning and all points north. West of Corning was just, well, Salamanca.

The Roscoe Diner sux now.

Big Tupper was great, big trees, big bumps and big dumps. I got a great waist deep day there. The locals were all long ski fanatics so the bumps had great long troughs that you could float through. It just flowed from trail to trees and back depending on the terrain.

If you’re ever driving through Hancock you MUST stop at Delaware Delicacies, or my preferred pseudonym “the eel man”

He’s got a weir set up on the east branch that he rebuilds every year to catch teh eels and other river eats. Pretty cool dude. I remember going there when I was like 10 and he was lecturing me on the importance of never drinking alcohol. Did the math out and everything - millionaire status easy attainable. I sure fucked that up.

Always used to eat at Roscoe Diner after driving home to Syracuse from Dead shows at the Garden. Those pies in the front case were like a foot tall...

Having the majority of my family in the Syracuse area, Roscoe's was a frequent stop. Has to be 20 years for me now easily.
