I am heading off with; 2 buddies, cooler of beer, 4 wheel drive vehicle, 5 days off for exploring. The plan it to get to Durango and get at least 2 days there.
Besides the Hermosa creek trail, what else is a "hit list" item in that area for singletrack/epic/shuttles. I will be doing plenty of reading this week, just looking for a few suggestions.
Hopefully stop off in Monach and do the Crest on the way back or maybe a Day in Aspen. This is going to rock

In Durango I'd make sure to hit the Horse Gulch area directly behind campus, the "test track" area including "star wars", Kennebec Pass is an epic invloving a shuttle out past Mancos to the transfer station road. Haflin Creek was another epic shuttle out to the Missionary Ridge area via Florida road and the transfer station beyond Lemon Res but that is all in the burn area so I don't know what it's status is. Pop into any of the shops in town for beta.
