NBD. Spot Ryve 115. I have a Spot M150 and wanted something a little less burly/lighter. First wireless shifting for me. Liking the transmission so far but we'll see how things go. As for the bike, climbs like an XC bike (rocket) but feels more like a trail bike on the downs. Rips. Super impressed. The Pike feels a fair amount stiffer than the Fox 34 on the demo bike I rode. Only thing I'm going to change out for now are the tires. Have yet to find a Schwalbe tire that I like and the Wicked Will that came with the bike confirms that their tires still suck. Going to throw a 2.3 DHF up front and burn through both tires on the rear.

Just finished building up a new Forbidden Dreadnought - built this to lean more to the "trail" side of enduro, and man it fucking rips. Way better climber than expected, and it's still super plush and playful on the descents.

Installed the low speed compression knob kit on my Float X effectively turning it into a performance elite. Noticeable range of adjustment based on the highly accurate seated garage bounce. However, the setting from the factory was 4 (1 firmest, 10 softest), and I’ve actually been happy with the compression damping thus far. But for $25 and about 15 minutes of time, I figured why not. It’ll help resale at the very least.

    What have you bought/upgraded today.

Giving credit where credit is due…

About a month ago a LBS sent my blown X2 to Fox for a potential warranty claim. Late last week I received a new 2024 factory model.

Was expecting a rebuild with the 2024 updates, definitely not a new and higher spec shock (the one that was sent in was a 3 year old Performance Elite).

So anyway, very impressed with how Fox is handling this. Not going to run it the remainder of this season but will probably start out next season with the new one. Will be very curious to see if the recent positive reviews of the 2024 models hold true.

Looks fast standing still, damn. I passed on getting a Druid V1 frame for $1500 a couple weeks ago when the Forbidden site was blowing them out and I've regretted it since. I think a Druid V2 frame is my next bike to complement my Spire as a shorter-travel pedal bike that can still eat up janky backcountry rides.

First big ride on news wheels(WAO Revive with Chris King R45’s), 70mi with road, gravel, and some singletrack. I would’ve thought the carbon would be more noticeable then it does over the stock G1800 wheelset. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing but good to be back on Chris Kings and confidence of lifetime warranties

Other then the durability/clunking issues with the first release....have you (and anyone else with one) like the performance of the Fox Float X? I just picked one up to replace my SD+ on my V2 Hightower.

Can't complain or compare, It's on a new frame. If I'm reading the S# correct, the can is from 22. My only complaint so far is the switch toggles up and down to easy

I found some sam hill titanium pedals on the local classifieds. My pedals on the bike are missing pins, broken pins, etc, and these look cool. I'll try em.

Getting bike ready for Perú. New DH casing rear tire, one CushCore, new 223 2.3 TRP rotor, new brake pads, bled both brakes, put wheelbase into long mode, new One Up handlebar, swapped 200mm transfer for 210 One Up post.
Also did a lower service on the Zeb.
Feeling dialed, but gotta bed in some stuff on the Pass as soon as it’s a bit dryer.
    Getting stoked!

You should come with me next year, I’m gonna try and put together a group trip of ‘qualified’ (old? Lol) rippers to share expenses. I have it pretty covered, this will be my 12th riding trip down there…

I haven't ridden with Wayo but here he runs a good ship. We did our trip with Hans Martin and Diego Sarmiento. It'd be great to go back. The food alone is worth it

I have heard Hans rips as well. The food is one big part of it for me, especially in Lima.
