JJ Watt granted his release from Texas.

What a steaming dumpster fire of an otherwise promising program.

Someone has to take the mantle from the old Browns; I thought it would be the Bengals, but Houston appears to be going all-in on disfunction.

JJ is ruined. Great human being but his body was destroyed in Houston. He should just call it a career and go into the booth for the rest of his days like Howie.

Watch the Jests trade everyone to the Texassicans for Deshaun and Houston will still suck next year.

Obviously, he needs to sign with the Steelers.
When JJ was at his peak, I don't think there was a better defensive player in our era. 34 defensive ends shouldn't be able to do this:

Browns, Bills and J-E-T-S all had their recent dysfunction, but the Texans went from a consistent playoff contender to raging dumpster fire in <12 months. What an epic collapse

It really is impressive when you look at how fast it all went to shit.

Tuned to the Cleveland sports talk radio stream upon reading the news and the callers are in full-froth mode over signing beat up, old superstars like JJ and Richard Sherman.

Myles Garrett and JJ Watt coming at opposing QBs could be fun to watch (if JJ wasn't old and beat to shit).

As a vikings fan...let’s say they keep bridgewater and spend 84 million on the offensive line....FML

^ Sorry detrusor, I deleted the post before seeing your response because I thought it was half baked. What's not half baked is Teddy Bridgewater along side Dalvin Cook and a stout O-line would have been enough to keep Diggs in Minnesota allowing the Vikes to crush the Bucs in the NFC championship.

    For half baked posterity:

I have a theory that 99% of all NFL quarterbacks are Kirk Cousins. It's so obvious that it's hardly worth calling it a theory.

Apart from a few exceptions, a QB losing or acquiring an elite receiver and elite pass protection either puts that QB in the MVP discussion or turns that QB into Kirk Cousins.

Josh Allen and the Bills don't make the playoffs or can't win a playoff game, losing to the Texans, before acquiring Stefon Diggs from the Vikings. The Vikings went from beating the Saints in the playoffs to not making the playoffs after losing Diggs and key offensive linemen. The Texans went from beating the Bills to missing playoffs after losing DeAndre Hopkins. Baker Mayfield went from first pick bust to beating the Steelers after the Browns drafted/spent heavily on their offensive line and receiving corps.

If they’re all Kirk Cousins, what does that make Joe Flacco?

This may change my perception of him.

The Bills and Jets both shine in that regard. It seems to correlate with sucking.

Just another example of the second most annoying fan base in the NFL. It’d be impossible to top how annoying the yankeesque fans of the Patriots are (fuck they’re acting like they won another championship with Brady at TB, don’t remember them celebrating the Babe Ruth and Wade Bogss World Series pennants). Grew up in the PNW. Nobody was a fan of the sea chickens back then 80s-90s now they grow out of the soil like mushrooms. Just had to be chased out of the AFC west to finally win.

Wow, the two most successful franchises in the last decade also happen to have the most annoying fan bases? Is that a coincidence or maybe it just sucks to listen to fans from other teams enjoy success (a lot of people also gripe about Packers fans...another successful franchise). There are definitely some bandwagon Seahawks fans, but that will happen in a city that has a huge influx of people (you wanna see bandwagon fans, just wait for the South Lake Union Kraken). Also, Marshawn Lynch (goddamn I miss that guy) and Legion of Boom had great swagger, of course they're going to attract some fans!

And being 'chased out of the AFC West' into the NFC West is why the Hawks have been to the playoffs 8 out of the last 9 years? Do you even watch football??? 49ers were strong in '12, '13 and '19. Rams were strong in '17, '18 and this year. Shit, even the Cardinals had good seasons in '14 and '15. We definitely don't have the Pats business model: regular season cakewalk through AFC East.

Edit to Add: Yes, I know about the interception from the 1 yard line, aka, the typical response from Seahawks haters.

Wait the Seahawks had Patriots level of success / were the second best team in the NFL over the past 10 years? By what measure?

A .638 regular season winning percentage and a .600 playoff winning percentage is pretty good, and that's the Hawks over the last 10 years. It's Pats #1 and Hawks/Packers pretty much a toss up for #2.

Thanks for reinforcing my obvious trolling. Surprised you beat all the patriots fans to it.

One of the worst things about Hawks fans is all the 12 bullshit. They run around like they are part of the team, patting themselves on the back for being a bunch of new-money bandwagon fans and then have to pipe crowd noise into the stadium to make themselves feel better.

In the 2014 NFC Championship game, arguably the best game in Seahawks history, the place was half full at the end cause they all left in the third quarter.

Edit: in before the one OG fan from the 70s tries to pretend every fan is like them
