    Finally snowing in NZ

FInally snowing here after a month of no snow. About a foot and a half so far and it's supposed to keep coming. It's all slop so far but it's covering the rocks and sticking to everything. The snow level is supposed to drop into the valley tomorrow night. Hopefully when it clears everything's buffed out, covered all the rocks and soft!

If it gets too deep it might extinguish his cigarette. Then what?

But you don't have a pass at Treble Cone.

I knew this was going to happen as soon as I left the country.

Perfect windbuff Tahoe-style pow day at Temple. Blue skies, calm winds, and about a meter+ of new snow caked onto everything, yet you really had to try to sink in more than a few inches. I couldn't be bothered to take out the camera, but if I did, it would have probably taken some good shots.

Shit it was nice to let my spatulas run and do what they do best - not turn. God I love high speed pow turns under blue skies.

Great snow at Craigieburn and Broken River the last two days. They claimed to have gotten 110cm in two days, but only seemed like 30cm of fresh to me. It's OK though because there was still powder and they needed a good base to get things going now. I can't wait until they finish their avy control work.
