No they can't. The AP and non AP heels are different.

Do you all normally use the ATK-provided template and instructions or is there a better method that I should be following or template that I can use?

Also, any other useful tips or tricks for mounting these that I should be aware of? I’m going to do a 2x4 mount first just to be safe, but any tips are welcome

I downloaded and used the paper template and instructions from Moment. I have done many alpine binders but this was my first touring mount. It worked out great and will soon do another the same way.

I acn't figure out the differences between all these bindings...

I have some 184 Helio 104's I need bindings for. I don't need a 15 din, but I do like heel lift. What ATK should I start looking at?

By heel lift, do you mean the feerider spacer? You can add a freeride spacer on to all the different Raiders versions, you do not need to buy the 15.

But really I'd decide on weight first and then dive into features of the different ATK bindings. If you are looking over 300g go Raider series all day, under 300 you have a lot of options to decide on.

Edit: This is a super helpful chat to figure out what binding has what features. https://www.telemark-pyrenees.com/at...s?currency=USD

With the new AL16 spacer you can also have a spacer on the Kuluar and the Crest.

My research is pointing towards the C Raider 12. But what would I be losing (besides 25 grams and 2 DIN) by dropping down to an RT 10?

The RT 10 Evo toe is a bit less beefy, maybe a bit less durable if used inbounds regularely. You still can put a freeride spacer if you want to on that model.

Is the universal freeride spacer discontinued? I really want them for my Trab.

Thinking of getting the Raider EVO 13 to put on Kastle TX 93. Would the 91 brakes fit or should I size up to 97? Crampons at 97 I assume?

Not answering your question but any idea of Kastle fixed their toe delam issue? Lots of older posts about TX line having delam issues near toe or heel pieces. Not sure if user error or design issue

FWIW, I have Raiders with 102 brakes that fit a 104-waisted ski.

ATK stoppers are really true to size or even small, I'll take the 97mm, but if the 91mm are cheaper they'll fit with a bit of bending.

@andy I have 108mm stoppers on 112mm skis but I had to bend them a lot, if I had to do it again I'd take 120mm one as it wouldnt be too big.

I also have 97mm stoppers on 99mm skis and had to bend them a bit.

No clue. Got ‘em cuz they were on sale for 340, and I figured there’s no chance I won’t get value for money there.

I'm looking at these ATK bindings at evo.
    https://www.evo.com/shop/ski/binding...ne-touring/atk

    Couple of questions.
Would the freeraider 15 at 740 be the deal vs the raider 13 at 700, since I'd have to get the spacer for 50 dollars for the raider 13.

Are these prices for real? That seems insanely expensive for the binding, are they that much better than something like the marker alpinist which is closer to 500?

Are there better places to buy these bindings from?

For atk stuff and touring gear in general europe will have much better prices. Snowcountry.eu has the 15 for about 500 with some good discounts running right now. Telemark pyrenees, oliunid, and varuste also consistently have good deals.

FR 14 still available for about $440. This is the previous model with the push button brake release. The new Evo model does away with the button.

    Elan branded c-raider 12 for $420 is another option - https://www.skiessentials.com/produc...%2520size=91mm

Curious what exactly makes the Raider series better suited for wider skis than the Crest series according to mfger. The width of the hole pattern is similar right? Is the heel tower beefier?

Depends how you ski and what the ski will be used for. I have R12s on my Helio 104's - but could also imagine mounting a Crest or Haute Route...

Is there a binding template for a Kuluar 9 binding? I've found one that seems to align for the toepiece, but nothing for the heel

I tried looking but the search sucks and the ATK downloads page has been updated and no longer has the old template links

I have other requests for an ATK template and will try and get that done at some point today. I’ll add it here and the binding template thread.

Interesting they removed all the templates from their downloads page. Maybe liability?
Is Plum the last mfg who has official templates on their website?

Kuluar, Crest, RT all share the same pattern.
Attached is the RT one I stripped down and added dimensions to a while back.
