    which one is wrong?

I was at the grocery store and a woman was arguing with some people who asked her and her husband to put on their masks. they said they didn't have to because they have COPD and Asthma. Evidently that line of reasoning for not wearing a mask is bullshit.

So hopefully she dodged this. Got a couple of weeks of quarantine ahead.

I want to believe this, but part of me also believes someone in his campaign group is a bit more cold-hearted and calculating. Looking at the timing of this, if 8-12 weeks of mask wearing from everyone squishes the virus, Drumph can be the nation's savior just in time for November if he starts this now. Nevermind he got us stuck in this pit to begin with and killed 140,000+ Americans, because it's all China's fault according to him and nobody could have seen this coming. Our favorite president will have saved America again. Aren't you tired of winning?

    Great editorial

    https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...rticle/2768835

"The estimated total number of infections (extrapolated from the measured proportion of individuals with positive SARS-CoV-2 serologies) was between 6- and 24-fold higher than the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in each location prior to the study."

"The study also highlights how active surveillance strategies, deploying widespread PCR- or antigen-based testing to identify those with replicating virus (both clinically evident and asymptomatic), are urgently needed to blunt the trajectory of the epidemic in the US. Large differences between known, reported cases and the serology-based estimates reported by Havers et al underscore how limited PCR-based testing capacity, including both the massive shortfalls that derailed the early epidemic response and the ongoing lack of testing for active surveillance, have left enormous numbers of infections undetected, circulating in the community, and propagating the epidemic."

The problem with the authors' advocacy of widespread testing to "blunt the trajectory of the epidemic" is that there is no reason to believe that the mask deniers, church and wedding and funeral goers, family reunioners, and 20-30 something barflies and partiers will submit to testing, contact tracing, and quarantine. Even if compliance were enforced under the threat of penalty there aren't enough cops in the country to do it and police depts have almost uniformly refused to enforce public health orders--a lot of the cops themselves flaunt the orders. Although keeping the cops busy doing something other than killing black people and beating up protesters would be a good thing.

It's been the highlight of my visit here today having the Asperger's folks show up and argue about Georgia Satellite lyrics.

    hmmm.

what about protestors submitting to testing, contact tracing and quarratining for 2 weeks following a protest event ? i'm not seeing that.

and seems you have the current protestors vs cops all flipped around, it's currently blacks killing blacks at 2 and 4 times than was previous and its the cops being assaulted. if you don't think that one protestor that got his arm broken by some cops at a protest wouldn't be on cable tv in prime time; you are in denial.

I think using the word hand twice in the same sentance does not sound as good OR was there a reason to do so ?

Question: does Inslee's new/renewed prohibition on outdoor entertainment include drive-in movies? I found text that states that drive-in concerts are prohibited under the ban, but no mention specifically of movies.
