Yeah, some people are having trouble clearing the virus.

There are several possibilities--true reinfection after completely clearing the virus, viral counts reduced to undetectable but not zero and then increasing again, or virus is present and replicating or just sequestered somewhere other than the nasopharynx which I assume is the site being sampled. My money would be on 2 or 3. I think it will take a long time before we know if true reinfection can occur. Best to ignore the possibility because if there is truly no immunity the human race is doomed no matter what we do.

The thing is--you're not supposed to have to figure it out for yourself. If we had true leadership there would be a clear and unified message and a clear and unified plan of action--modified based on results and new information. We could all understand what we are supposed to do and why, what the endpoints are at various steps along the way. The confusion you and I and everyone else feels is because there are multiple messages, multiple plans, and often no plan at all. The multiple messages are coming from both multiple sources and from a single source.

Youyang Gu's predictions for infection and death rates have generally outperformed all other models. Take note, this guy is an independent data scientist. Kinda impressive if you ask me.

@bennie: She's worth money. She is married to money, she comes from money, and she's made money. She's not worth anywhere near 100 mil. You just use it as a talking point, man. You don't know and neither do I.

Which is besides the point. You voting for Trump, Benny?

I’ve been doing the federal pen workout for 2 months. 10 burpees, 20 push ups, 5 pull ups x 5. Not bad for an old timer.

Seriously? Wiki didn't pull that number out of it's ass. It's public knowledge. Declared. What, are you going to pull the old school, she's married to money bullshit. Like they don't fucking share notes at dinnertime? C'mon. Wake up. There's a ton of fucking money to be made at the upper levels of power, and it's fucking legal! Scratch my back, blah blah. C'mon. The woman is second generation politician dynasty. Her old man was mayor of Baltimore. Yeah, that was a clean career, I'm sure. She studied hard, I'll bet.

The reason I ask, Benny, is, I'm curious what you want to accomplish, given the facts as they are.

You're good at haranguing, Unlike most here, I think, I enjoy them and tend to get something from them. I'm a fan, man. But I'm asking you to live in realpolitik for a minute instead of Ideal World. How do we go forward? Pelosi is your enemy, I get it. But she's not your main enemy. Let's try to focus on the business at hand.

So maybe let's focus on Job #1, for a minute. Without forgetting about the rest of it.

I'd like to ski in real mountains again and drive from Barcelona to Lisbon, too. Both look bleak right now.

There is something to be said for respecting the sanctity of the secret ballot.

Asking someone who they're going to vote for is marginally more inappropriate than asking someone if their wife prefers it when they to pull out first, or drop a load straight in her colon.

I don't know. We're at a fork in the road. Revolution, or, Brazil. I'm too old to determine either. Sure glad I'm not 22.

If you don't vote for Biden it's a vote for Trump. Straight up. 100%. Which is why I asked earlier. Will you choke down the bile and vote for Biden or not?

eh, that's pushing it a bit, isn't it? there are certain states that are totally not in play. not going to hurt anything (maybe help) by voting for a third party candidate. ive only been registered to vote in utah and california so I guess i am used to not having to play the "hold your nose" game.

If only. The EC still decides the winner. Benny's blue state vote doesn't count. There's no prize for winning the popular vote.

The way it works, in my heritage, is, you're either with us or you're against us. So which is it?

You gonna worry about Pelosi's net worth or about Trump?

    You tell me.

Yup. Imagining that the lesser of two evils must be good is a problem on both fronts: no credibility and no need for accountability as long as they're not worse than Shitler. The bar is too low.
