Just watched the post Tour inteview between Lance and Ligget and that other ...British accent ...what's hizname...whatever, and he said that he wasn't looking back at Ulrich as a challenge on that climb in '01, he was just looking for his team members.
so......there. Worked that one for a few years with silence.

I thought he said that in the post-race interview right after the stage in 2001. Either way, that's been around for quite a while.

there is what lance said it was and then there was what it actually was. i think he was lookin back to say "i just dropped you sucker".

i swear i have heard lance say there was 'no look' several times. I think the media would rather believe it was a look because it adds to the lance legend.
