Parking lot was full when I wandered out to the truck at 1am to sleep. Then in the morning, everyone was gone. Just a deflated football and a Fireball shooter left in the mud…

Awesome to meet you and share some turns with you yesterday, Singlecross! What we lack in vert, we make up for in stoke!

Have a great rest of your trip, and maybe we'll see you at GT in a couple weeks!

Huge shoutout to naedward81 for the lift tickets. Every single mag skied for free that day thanks to his generosity.

Word. I hope to repay the kindness by showing him around Bridger for a day when he visits.

Thinking we should try to do takeover Saturday in March. I could scrounge plenty of passes.

2nd weekend of March is the demo. I'll be turning screws in the Volkl tent.

You name which Saturday and I will be there. Better to pick the date early and let people plan.

It would be awesome to have a big maggot turnout.

Headed to Marquette for the weekend. Pretty sad snow situation everywhere but at least it's a nice view off the lift. PSA, always double check the back of the truck before you back out.

My March weekends are pretty full but if you guys set a date for a meet up and I can swing it, I'll be there.

Chestnut was fire last night. Warpath closed Sunday but everything else is open. We have been a bit cooler down here than MSP area probably probably because we had a huge snowpack from the 22 inches we got in 4 days during the cold snap. Unfortunately, that is drying up fast and the forecast is absolutely abysmal.

I am getting more and more skeptical of the alleged cool down coming in February. Even if it comes, it might be too little, too late.

Thankful for the lack of sun. That is keeping the midwest in business for now.

Reminder...today is BWCA permit day. Opens at 9 am.

Hey GSinister, did you hit Trollhaugen yesterday? If so, what did you you think of that new terrain?

No, my daughter needed my car. She finally got her car in to fix hail damage from 8 months ago. They want $12,000! I don’t think that’s going to work. Maybe buy back the totaled car from the insurance company.

Current view from Devils Head during a course stop for salt and rebuild at the start. Full sun. Bare hands and shirt sleeves. Beach weather really nice refreeze last night keeps the hill in the game for now.

    Hill faces straight south.

Troll was skiing really nice yesterday, but was sweating my balls off while standing around gate-keeping the D-team race. The dude the set the 12+ course was mean and left a big hanging gate straight into a hairpin below the roll-over. I don't think I've ever written out so many DQ cards, but the kids all seemed to get it figured out for the second run. One of our racers even managed to nut himself on his binding when he blew the turn - pretty funny once he got up and moving again.

The new terrain was pretty cool - fairly short, but decent pitch to it. They even had a radar gun set up on one of the new runs which the kids got a kick out of seeing how fast they could go. Forecast this week looks like absolute shit, especially for my Thursday shift at Wild (hoping they just shut it down for the day if that rain happens).

See, this is why Trollhaugen is so awesome.

Sad day for Midwest skiers as the historic Lutsen Lodge burned down last night. Lots of memories here as a kid. The lodge has been around a lot longer than the ski area.

    Well, that's just awful.

What's with all the fires as of the past few days. Some asshole burned down the playground equipment at the park my house borders. Boise Police and Fire are calling it an arson. WTF people, find something to do.
