ha, I use my 191 Jeffrey 108 at Tyrol all the time.

Is that run with the bumps, Big Deal? I learned to ski at Little Switz, burned holes in the palms of my mittens on the rope tow before I bought those leather mitten cover things with metal staples(?) added for durability

Yeah, that's Big Deal. I've noticed more of the leather covers this year, do you buy those are DIY them? I'd love to know how many pairs of Kinco mitts some of those kids go through in a season

Here in the Midwest during C19, that is where we bury the dead bodies until the ground thaws in the spring and we can provide a proper burial.

The mitten protectors were sold at the local ski shops, Les Moise and Vertical Drop

Went to Mt Bohemia for the first time and skiied 2/24-2/26. They had received 24" on Tuesday the 22nd, so we missed the big powder day on Wednesday but got awesome conditions for the next couple. As is well documented, Boho is a weird place. The whole "No beginners allowed" mantra and giving everything black diamond and up rating was kind of dumb. But the skiing didn't disappoint.

We were there Friday. Probably saw ya there. Green Q Labs with orange FKS. Blue pants with orange zippers. The two guys I was skiing with both had blizzard Cochise. Beautiful weather, even if we missed the storm.
    focus.

They just canceled the La Crosse spring fling race next weekend because the forecast is for 49 degrees Saturday with thunderstorms in La Crosse. Even worse down river in these parts. 60 and sun right now here in Moose. Unspeakable forecast.

Skuff it was great to meet you this weekend at your stomping ground Tyrol.

Thanks for making the effort. Apparently all things are possible after enough attempts.

Daughter finished the season strong with top 5 in 3 of 4 races at Tyrol and 5th in points for the season among girls who didn't bump out of U12. Sort of brightened my mood. I'm that kind of race dad. Not sure why I give a shit how she does, but somehow it matters to me.

We are going to try for Chestnut Sunday morning after the worst of this shit weather gets out of here. Fuck climate change (and Putin).

Wife buying me beers. Tyrol isnt the biggest hill but it has a fantastic race atmosphere if you can avoid getting yelled at by Nate or his employees by strictly following their rules (no carry in beer soup Nazis). Daughter bashing Slalom gates for 3rd and a 4th Slalom finishes. Trophy. Muddy parking lot meltdown holy heck.

If any mags come out, hit me up. I have some comp tickets I can pass along.

Hope this shit storm at least stays on the cold side way up in the UP. Trying for a quick trip to Boho early next week. 50 miles could make all the difference. Models keep shifting around.

Small possibility I will be there Sunday. Maybe a 25 percent chance. I will send you a PM Saturday evening if it looks like can make it Sunday.

And what’s with Trollhaugen spamming my email ? They sent me 3 emails today asking me to be a Patroller for them next year. I’m too lazy for that… [emoji3]

In other Trollhaugen news, that $279 season pass offer is a screaming deal. I spent that much this season at the Troll, so I am thinking strong about it. They opened 3-4 weeks earlier than Christie Mountain.

So next year I am looking at having passes at both Christie Mountain and Trollhaugen, plus IKON for trips to Big Sky and Jackson. Sounds like I have next winter booked solid. So much for being lazy…

Sounds good!! Demo did get moved to the 12th-13th now because of rain on Saturday, in which I will be in Lutsen that weekend.

But, still have comp tix. Just ski all the Volkl's and tell em Nate sent ya.

Good meeting you and your missus, hopefully starting a trend toward finding each other at WSP.

Again, congrats to your daughter! It's all good as long as she's happy, and meeting/exceeding her expectations.

Bought a ticket for Granite Peak when the forecast was calling for 8" of snow Saturday. Now it's rain and has me thinking Sunday when temps come back down. Anyone have experience skiing there after a rain and refreeze? I can't imagine with their size that they can get the whole thing groomed out before Sunday.

We are doing Chestnut Sunday am if they are able to open. I think it will be good. Super wet snow skis okay above freezing after grooming. At least in the morning.

Tnmrw. Not so much. Ski areas are killing the lifts preemptively tmmrw (welch, Troll) or closing at 4 (Chestnut, Cascade). Or closing sooner if this shitstorm develops sooner.

Personally, I'd be hesitant to put the effort in to ski tmmrw unless you live really close. I don't. Too much risk they pull the plug on the way up. But if the lifts are turning and you have yellow wax and beers, worth it. Always.
