    2019/2020 Midwest Stoke Thread

Started snowing about 8pm last night, loaded the skis in the car and went to bed early. Woke up to the sound of the plow guy clearing the driveway. Passed several wrecks on my way to the hill. Was not disappointed. Had my wide(er) skis (108 Blizzard Scouts) and it was like floating on air. I had a shitload of fun today.

Those Blizzards were probably my favorite overall ski when I lived in Big Sky. Not the best at any one thing, but damn good at everything.

They are the same as the OG Cochise but without metal. I also have a pair of the same vintage Cochise. The Cochise bust through crud and chop like nobody’s business, and Big Sky has a lot of that. But they sunk like a submarine in powder. Whereas the Scouts have 90 percent of the crud busting but are way better in powder. Fun ski, I don’t need them in Wisconsin but I’m definitely taking them to Big Sky next month.

    2019/2020 Midwest Stoke Thread

Continuing my program of skiing on inappropriate equipment, today I was on my Line Prophet 115’s. Worked fine on the soft groomers, but it was like skiing in slow motion.

Good to see these pictures. January has seemed very cold, windy, and cloudy in these parts. Glad to see others are still getting good conditions.

Got out to Buck Hill aka “race central” to hit their bump run. Whoever builds the mogul run does a great job.

We watched Jerry drive his car up the service road and ONTO the hill. Said he was there to ski. He had to back down the road when we pointed to the lot and let him know that’s where the cars go. Yikes!

Hoping to get out today but -6 temp doesn’t get me too jazzed. Should be empty though.

To be clear...the "pathetic" comment was solely in regard to the terrain. The people in this thread are solid maggots!

Struggling to get up the courage to leave the house and head to the Ridge.

Drove 28 miles on deserted 2-lane roads to the ski hill. Way more fun than posting in the I-70 Bitch Thread.

They had a blast, super awesome of your wife to bring her over. I had to bail at 130 back to Fort Moose to keep the lid on, so I wouldn't have been around much anyway. It was skiing quite good, save for the rollover on Warpath, which was taking out every gaper who tried to ski it, with ice morphing into soft grippy fresh blown on the bottom, so of course they were lapping that for their warmup.

Hi, this is a reminder that hackers have been getting into accounts with stale old passwords and causing mayhem scamming people in gear swap.

Update your passwords, be wary in gear swap, report suspect activity!

A few pics from indieanhead. good conditions as long as you dressed warm enough and once the wind episode ended friday night. Deep in the trees where nobody else had been.
