    Fkna is right!
Great day skiing with Harry gsinister and the grumpy old men! Started out soft and a little slushy turned to mashed potatoes by mid day. But days like this is what Midwest skiing is all about. It’s not about perfect conditions or chasing powder days. Most of my Midwest days it either too warm or too cold almost always too windy. The snow is either hard packed ice, or sticky slush. And yet I’ve never had a bad day. It’s about sliding on snow with other people who love to ski! It’s about being able to pass that love on to my kids.

Glad I made the drive. Looking forward to tomorrow, hoping to hook up with Skuff at cascade.

Harry- you’re not wrong about me being a little freaked out driving on the ice. I’m from too far south for this to be normal. Also it was a 50+ degree day and there was 2 inches of water puddled on top of the ice. Made me nervous on the drive out to the island. I was fine by the time we made the return trip to shore.

    Thanks again for the tour!

    I learned to ski there.
I’ll make sure to take that selfie. I’ll post it here as soon as the photo sharing function gets fixed.

Paging nedwards81, our homeboy ima gaper lost one of his sweet Cloudveil leather gloves yesterday. Sent you a text with a photo of the glove in question. Can you check Troll’s Lost & Found for him ?

Remember boys and girls, combining Wisconsin malted beverages with Illinois gummies may lead to glove loss on a nice sunny ski area patio….

Skied at Cascade with Ima gapper this afternoon, sun came out and the snow was soft slush. Some mellow turns and a beer to close the day... perfect

    Thanks, Ima

edit: oh yeah, Ima shared some venison sausage and dog walkers. cheers, brother!

I want to commend ima gaper for stepping out of his comfort zone and traveling around to ski and make new friends.

He single handedly blew up the Midwest Stoke thread for an entire week.

Total dirtbag trip, sleeping in his car, eating jerky sticks. Deiter would approve.

Jerky sticks?!? That ain't 'dirtbag' - 2 packages of Klements Honey Ham meat sticks from Fleet Farm, Diet Coke and sunflower seeds over a 27 hour drive - now THAT is dirt bagging! And Dieter never made it out to Idaho...

Man, I had a blast! It was great to finally meet some of you mags in real life.
I’m already dreaming about going bigger next year. Maybe start at granite, to Marquette, mt Bohemia, big powderhorn, to trollhaugen. Each hill is about a three hour drive from the last. Five solid days at some of the Midwest finest ski hills. Hopefully I can pull it off next winter.

Yep, I also had a great time at the Troll on Wednesday. I love it when the sun is shining and the company is good. Thanks for the venison, Ima gaper. Also, Dave and Mark wanted to make sure that I say thanks to Harry for the Swag!

HAHA, so I go into the men’s room at Trollhaugen and step up to the urinal. Got my hawg out doing my thing and I look at the propaganda posted for my reading pleasure. Trollhaugen has an ad up talking about the upcoming Demo Days. And whose photo do they have starring at my dick? Yup, our very own nedwards eighty one has his photo posted right above the urinal.

I went back out to the bar and informed AxeBiker and his wife. AxeBiker immediately went in there and took a photo. Statement by Mrs Axe, “you guys are such weirdo’s”.

Kids got a snow-day from school, so sounds like I'll be bringing the boys and a friend out to Wild this afternoon. Will be curious to see how heavy it is at the hill - pretty dense here at home, but had drifts knee high all over the place. Who's hitting Troll up this Saturday for demo-days? I'm planning to be there Saturday, looking forward to catching some laps with whoever is coming.
