When drained, scrub the poly with bleach/water mix and rinse it. Drape over top of the hole, throw a big plywood sheet on it and weigh it down to seal it so cats don't use the hole as a litterbox.
You've put some real thought into this

Yep, same. Might be a little longer this time of year though

If what you're after is a cheap tub, I'd go with one of those galvanized tubs used for watering livestock, prop it up on sawhorses, and light a fire underneath. A little bit bugs-bunny-cooked-alive, but I'd argue impossible to break, classier than the inflatable, and all around a lot more exciting.

Ahhh, the Dub Tub. I've have three of them. Two Coleman and 1 Bestway. The most I paid was $349 delivered and that's about what they're worth. Right around the time that the Saluspa pump would fail the tub material would start to go, too. The pump impeller is replaceable. The leaky tubs, not so much. The Bestway has a cool app that allows remote control. They will also run without going back to them every 48 hours. All three have held temp, no problem, outside in Tahoe. No idea what it costs to run them full time in sub freezing temps. Probably $50/month-ish. They're fucking awesome. I won't buy another.

Apparently inflateable water bars are a thing now.

Not sure if they are heated, seems like a summer thing.
