Does it make me less of a man because I like mint leaves in my drinks?

Edit - no need to answer that question.

    Call this the Adios Motherfucker..
Everyone knew what it was in California, nobody here on the ice coast. Go figure:

Start by mixing the following in a pint glass:
1 part rum (and by "part" I usually mean shot)
    1 part tequila
    1 part vodka
    1 part gin
    2 parts blue curacao

Shake that up. Then, carefully add on top:

3 parts sweet and sour (enough to fill the glass to about 1" from the top)

    Then, very carefully, add:

Enough sprite or 7-up to fill the glass.

I love this drink.. Because it's blue but not "girlly." And it fucks you up. 2 of those and most people are done..

    My 2 for the summer:
    Cocktail-Capirinha (brazil)
    1/2 a lime,
1 Tbsp sugar in bottom of glass, mash with wooden spoon
2 shot Cachaca (like rum, but from sugar cane as opposed to molasses (sp?), rum is a fine substitute)
    ice
    Delicious

    Beer: Sessions (Full Sail)
great lager w/ lots of taste in the cutest stubby 11 oz bottle
You look like I need a drink.

Cachaca is Brazilian rotgut Rum. All Rum is made from Sugar Cane, so it's basically all the same ol' shit, but like all liquors there can be a world of difference in taste. There's something similar made in Costa Rica that, due to its moonshiney nature, cannot legally be called "rum" for tax purposes. Man, that stuff's a headache in a bottle.

For a truly fine Mojito try this recipe (EPSkis can vouch

    Pint Glass
    1/2 lime squeezed into glass
    Whole Sprig of Mint
    add Ice
add 1oz simple syrup made from Turbinado Sugar (like 'Sugar in the Raw')
Fill 2/3 to top with light Rum (I like Cruzan)
    fill rest with filtered water
lightly shake with Silver Cocktail shaker
    pour back in Pint Glass

BTW, simple syrup is 2pts sugar to 1pt. water. Warm water and stir in sugar until dissolved. I make a pint at a time and keep it in the fridge.

    Summer? Drinks?

    Vodka Tonic:

    Add ice to pint glass
    Squeeze lime into said glass
Pour Vodka into aforementioned drinking receptacle
Add Tonic to the thing holding the ice and vodka

    drink, repeat.

    Cape Codder:

    add ice to pint glass
    Pour vodka into said glass
Add cranberry juice to aforementioned drinking receptacle

    drink, repeat.

    Beer:

Open appropriate beer themed container chilling device
Remove can of hamms from hamms cooler (THANKS STD)
Open said beer container from the chilling device

    drink, repeat

I've heard this called both an Electric Lemonade, of which this is not correct and there appears to be about 10 different ways to mix it now, and a Blue Motorcycle.

    - Sparkleberry -
    in a pint glass:
    half Sparks Malt Energy Beverage
    half vodka
    some ice
    garnish with fruit

Drink a few of these and you'll have the energy to RUN home from the bar and the black out to wonder why you're all scraped up from falling down on the run home.

Maybe one of you can tell me what I drank the other night at a rooftop gathering downtown...
All I know was it had Midori watermelon liquer and some kind of coconut rum in it. Dunno what else but it was very green from the Midori so apparently, that was the bulk of it. Great summer night drink.

    Purple Hooter:
    2 oz Top shelf vodka
    1 1/2 oz Chambord
    1/2 oz triple sec

Best done as a shot stained through ice
sandwhiched between a nice pair of "hooters"

    Goombay Smash:

    One part each:

    Pineapple Rum
    Coconut Rum
    Light Rum
    Dark Rum
    Four parts pineapple juice
    One part orange juice
    Juice of one lime
    Grenadine for color

Also had one in Bimini (End of the World Saloon REPREZENT!) that had some cream of coconut in it to make it err... "frothy." I think it was coconut....

Ahhh, but you have to order the "Down Under Darned"!
Same drink except your choice of a Vodka or Chambord floater on top.
(Yeah, I usually keep that quiet myself, but DAMN they're good!)

Don't you think that needs another shot of rum just for taste? (and maybe a mint leaf )
