I think wheel dish offset on GG bikes is part of how they can fit a 29 x 2.6” rear tire on a 419 mm chainstay hardtail or 426 mm chainstay FS bike. Yeah smmokan I can never remember if dish direction describes the rim moving relative to the hub or the hub moving relative to the rim ...
but regardless I just look at how the tire sits in my frame and look at the clearance on each side before I have the rim dished, I’d care more about that than whatever the spec is ... am I wrong on that?
Also, my soda stream cartridge refills are $15 each at Target and lasts my family like 3 weeks, with the cheapest model of SodaStream that’s gotta be way cheaper than LaCroix, but maybe not if you are comparing the most expensive SodaStream to buying mega cases of Polar from your WinCo or something. I keep various syrups in my fridge like ginger syrup, lime syrup etc that can be used for alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks alike - try that with your SodaStream and you also get a 2-for-1 by being able to expand your home bar capabilities and spice up your fizzy water.
Also, yeah, don’t go too heavy on that shit, carbonic acid isn’t the best for your teeth or stomach ...

Hmmm, maybe I need to stop pounding 4-6 cans of Bubly/LaCroix per day?
What is your guys go-to recovery drink? I love the Skratch Labs Chocolate, but at $32 for a pouch it's SPENDY. I notices a massive difference in how I feel if I drink a bottle full after a ride/workout or forget to.
For $0.32/can I buy Bubly at the grocery store.
Beer.
I'm serious. I've got so much recovery crap around here, skratch, some cbd crap, osmo, etc etc, most of it given to me by some racer or another. After reading Good to Go, I now don't believe in any of that crap.

I'm sure this is unrelated: my legs are TRASHED right now.
But the book is really worth reading.
I know you are partly serious, but my sister-in-law is a nutritionist with some world class racers on her clientele list, and she's a big believer in chocolate milk. So maybe you should be fully serious.
But again, read the book, and just drink some fluid, plus eat some protein, fat and carbs within an hour after you are done, and you'll be good.
Beer and a brat work great.
I actually pounded some Darigold "Fit" after my workout today. Choco milk without lactose and extra protein. So fucking good. Maybe that's all I need. Super cheap compared to the high end shit.
from racing experiance in france & belgium the neighbor coach has always recommended beer and frites

The old recommendation for recovery drink was 4-1 carb to protein. Newer research suggests that one really only needs carbs. The key is to get it as soon as possible after the workout ends, ideally within 20 mins.
This kid really knows his stuff.

this thread has taken a delicious turn and i miss Flex Mussels so so much:

as a moules-frites expert, this is the place in 'merica.
bumps are for poor people
I could get on board with chocolate milk for recovery.
I’ve tried pickle juice to stop post ride leg cramps; it’s gross but kinda works.

am i the only one that likes to go into new areas blind?
not really into the whole youtube everything you want to ride beforehand.
Opened a home-made pickle jar last night to test my first batch of hot sauce. All the tasties. Can't say I enjoy it more than a beer post-ride though. Unless I'm massively dehydrated or bonking in which case I'll go out of my way to find a gatorade. Chocomilk is an interesting option but I'm having a hard time eating/drinking really sweet stuff, I end up with an unpleasant saccharine aftertaste I can't shake for a while.
So, beer it is by default, how sad. And if there was a place in Park City for moules-frites I'd be ALL OVER THAT SHIT.

people recommending beer nutritionally should post a pic of themselves that includes their gut![]()
i drink beer on longish (zwift) group rides - hydration and nutrition, plus the burps keep me from sprinting when what i really need is a recovery ride
