    Capital Skis

Anyone know anything about these, some of their larger models (Thrasher) look really sick. I think they do custom lengths too for all you who want to relieve the 205 AK rocket. But does anyone have a pair or know some info?

I've been speaking with Greg Funk a lot and will probably anti up for a Fat Free in a 192. Here's some info he gave me:

This year they will be going to ptex (UHMW or whatever) sidewalls
The edges will be thicker as will the aluminum tailbars
4 flexes (soft, med, stiff and ultra stiff)- Medium is similar to Gotama, Stiff similar to Exploder
This year will have 2 core choices- maple/aspen (lighter, livelier) and maple/ash (heavier, damper)
There will also be a clear ptex coating on the top of the ski for durability.

I don't have any reviews but briefly spoke with a guy skiing them at Whistler in April and he loved them. Greg told me that Dave Treadway (Dan's bro) skied them last season and they were the only ski to last him an entire season....I'd be interested to hear any specific/lengthly reviews myself though...

Sweet, I emailed him about trying to make a Thrasher with stiff flex in like a 180, because I'm only 120 pounds and 190+ probably isn't gonna work for me haha.

Nice. I'm still considering the medium flex myself (165lbs). Have a 190 Exploder and love it, but wouldn't mind trying a little floatier ride...
