    Plyometric/balance leg exercises?

So with ski season around the corner (for most of us, at least), I'm sure a lot of people are starting to focus their weight training on ski-related exercises. What are some of the better ones you guys do to improve balance and strength? I've recently started using more physioballs and balance orbs, but I'm sure there is more out there. Let's hear 'em!

PM Dantheman...he has a really good workout he does that keeps him in really, really good shape. There are about 8-10 different exercises to choose from.

is the balance ball the same as the bosu-ball? (flat on one side)
I have mastered all major sporting activities to a high degree of mediocrity.

Bosu balls are perfect for balance. Check out a book called Jumping into Plyometrics. They specify the exercises by sport, but I mixed up a few of the skiing ones, soccer, and then some of the tennis sprints. Plyos rock!

I think the balance ball is the large physioball that you can do situps on and other exercises. The bosu-ball is a little easier to do one-legged squats on... but still tough. I'd like to see someone do a one-legged squat on a physioball.

Go get yourself a balance board. www.vewdo.com These guys make the best.

Hours of fun. I have had one for about 6 years and it still works great. You can do squats on these things and they will really help your skiing or snowboarding because they work all of the micro muscles that are always working to keep you from falling.
