Utah mags who like being on bikes????

I am heading out on my roadtrip leaving Seattle August 4th. I will be in Jackson for family stuff for about a week then was thinking of heading down to PC to stay with a friend and ride my bike. I would LOVE to meet up with you guys and get a local tour. However, it sounds like it has been hot down in that area and I am NOT equipped to deal with heat at an altitude (I am a pussy...I know). What have the temps been like in PC and are morning rides an option to avoid the heat. Also, for the remainder of my day what sort of water access is there in and around that area to avoid roasting to death for the rest of the day?

Could some of you Utards take madame girlski on The Crest Trail??? It's a not to be missed trail. (well, the new mid-mtn is pretty good too, but not quite as good as Crest)

This week is an exception but for the past month it has been in the mid 50's at night and upper 80's in the days. Plenty of time for getting morning rides in before it gets too hot or evening rides after it cools off. I would expect the same in the middle of august, maybe cooler evening temps.

Let us know when you get here.

I am soooo stoked. Now I just need to manage to fully keep up since I haven't been riding my bike all summer (I have been working out, so it won't be THAT bad). Like I said above, I will keep you kids posted on my progress down to UT by the 14th.

its not so hot when you're riding at altitude in the mountains. In fact it's usually super nice. and i was almost cold two weekends ago in BCC (ok, it was like 8:30pm, but still, it would have been hot down in the valley).

hey, i think i might be in jackson at some point this weekend! not sure how long though, but i'm super stoked cause i've never been.

and p.s. i think almost everyone in utah rides.
