What the fuck is wrong with people?

Jesus asks us to look inward and to see what we can change about ourselves and show compassion to those around us

These grade a fuck ups spew hatred and point the finger at others never picking every one apart

The preachers all admit that fear sells and is profitable spreading the good word will get you no where financially

The worst was the section where they salute service members in the church the crowd goes wild cheering and clapping madly when they are introduced then they introduce Tom and patty who are traveling the world spreading gods word and helping the poor these people are lucky to get a small golf clap

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson recounts a bizarre story about his experience being attacked by a demon in a clip released Thursday from a new documentary.

The former Fox News host said that a demon, or “something unseen,” left him scarred and bloodied after a paranormal experience a year-and-a-half ago—although it is unclear when the segment was filmed. The interview was conducted for a portion of a crowdfunded documentary called Christianities, which aims to explore the diversity of Christian traditions.

Carlson told the documentarians he first thought it was “the weirdest dream I’ve ever had,” but then saw blood on his sheets. “I had four claw marks on either side, underneath my arm and left shoulder. And they were bleeding,” he said.

Carlson said his wife and four dogs were in the bed when it happened, but none had woken up during the experience.

Maybe his stint at St. George’s during the big pedo scandal while his FIL was the headmaster made him such a bozo.

Steve Gonsalves, a star of the hit reality show Ghost Hunters, said that critics shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss Carlson’s supernatural experience, which had made the former Fox News host the object of online mockery. “I don’t think he made that up,” Gonsalves told TMZ. “Did his dogs do it, maybe? Who knows.” The paranormal investigator was hopeful that Carlson’s courage in speaking out, despite the prospect of relentless ridicule, could inspire others to open up about their own spectral and demonic run-ins.

Family has been RC in the New World since 1647 so I've known hundreds of RC's personally and never heard a 1st hand experience tale of demons. Lots of miracle stories though. MIL lost her glasses and after the family prayed to the saint for lost stuff, the glasses appeared on top of the toilet tank!!!!

Wife's family is pretty LDS and I've had to go to church a few times. Mostly pretty boring and non-crazy, but one time a woman bearing testimony claimed to have literally met an angel. I remember looking around to see the the reaction of the crowd and it mostly ranged from "Sounds plausible" to "Yep, BT; DT."

A delightful story when you think about it:

“The best argument for Christianity is Christians: their joy, their certainty, their completeness. But the strongest argument against Christianity is also Christians--when they are somber and joyless, when they are self-righteous and smug in complacent consecration, when they are narrow and repressive, then Christianity dies a thousand deaths.” -- Sheldon Vanauken

Religion is at its best when it provides community and meaning. At its worst when its trying to strongarm people into its worldview

I’d say it’s at its worst when it inspires its members to kill, persecute, or otherwise infringe upon the rights of others.

Agreed. That's what the Enlightenment was meant to solve. Liberalism was the secularization of the best religious virtues. This thread highlights the radical departure from Enlightenment ideals in religion, which we are also witnessing in political deformations as politics increasingly becomes a new religion for a lot of people

You can paint a barn red or you can paint a barn yellow. It's still a barn. Hope that helped. What else does that the "They're eating cats and dogs" man say that you believe?

    Hope that helped.

My friend who is a really wonderful person believes that God is allowing sex trafficking because he has a plan in the end. She is sure of it because "the master" as she calls God has a plan for everything and we can't possibly know.
When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

To paraphrase Bob Costas--God has already done enough for the USA.
