Or maybe I could arrange regional AQS repair parties and use up a tube all at once.
Toluene is a rubber solvent. That gasket will not last.

I find a spaghetti sauce jar with the screw top is about the right size, not sure what is the material of the gaskette on the lid

but I don't over think this

I find the Alfredo sauce jar is thin and tall with the ideal proportions for storage of the partially used AS tube.

    Bump -
I’ve rubbed up a leak in the bootie of my waders

No hole on the inside but it's thin and likely seeping thru

Question - since the hole is on the ball of my foot, should I fill in with AQS and then apply a patch over the hole as well? If so, what size patch would y’all recommend?

    TIA

I think just AQS will be good

you want some under that seam tape which I see is lifting and then on top of the tape and overlapping the hole by 1/2 inch all around

then i would secure a piece of plastic bag over the AQS with masking tape to give it a nice smoove finish

    let cure over night

Thanks for sharing your expertise! I have fixed a bunch of stuff over the years following your sage advice. My new challenge might require needle and thread. The elastic on the pant’s snow gaiters is dead.

    WWXXXD?

As I have said > once in the 9 pages i never use needle & thread when using AQS

The Snow cuff is right in harms way, you might rig something up wth bungy & a cord lock is the best i could suggest, if you get it let us know

Fix your own fucking gear with Aqua seal eh

Figured out the solution. Haven’t implemented it yet but it will work in most situations where elastic has stretched too much, like the snow gaiters.

Cut the short end seams where elastic is sewn onto fabric.

Use that as a sleeve within which to slide appropriate length of new elastic

A drop of aqua seal on each end clamped with spring clamps

A cuff pivot prong nut caught my left foot Zipfit and started a tiny hole, using AQS on it will be an easy fix.
Before adding the Zips I ground the prong nut down as much as it allowed, covered it with a dime sized piece of bootfitter foam and gaffe tape. This lasted longer than I figured it would and when it peeled, I didn’t notice right away.

yeah IME AQS sticks to Pebax boot plastic not too bad really, so i used to slop it on my tele boot bellows to mitigate bellows wear but it was maintenance thing so I would do it a couple times a season
