    Minor Stoke

Some pics from today at the trails and the stunts I've built on them, at Caesar's Creek state park.

I started the day off with some visualization from the top of "The Treehugger":

Then I pedaled my balls off and attempted to launch, which is more of Kona product placement than an action photo (I hate non-slr cameras):

Next was "The Drop" (creative name, since it's the only good drop at the trails, but I'm gonna change that soon)

Jimmy was afraid to lift his front end up:

Next up was "Thelma and Louise" now to be known as "The Twin Bitches" for their slipperiness. I built this yesterday:

So "Thelma and Louise" is basically an option if you want a little more challenge, right? Looks cool, there needs to be more stuff like that, where you're not required to hit the stunts and such. I suck so much that anything remotely resembling a stunt completely blows my confidence and I'm just beatering down the rest of it. Would be cool to pick and choose spots.

So do the park managers know and approve of building that stuff?

Nice dood, way to step the trails up.

On Thelma and Louise, I'd suggest chicken wire. Grip tape doesn't last for crap.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

E: yep, we have permission. Jimmy (from a few of the pics) works with the rangers, so we pretty much have permission to do whatever the hell we want...it's nice.

Bag: some chickenwire is in the works. I also learned (for the hundreth time) that Holy Rollers don't love slick logs...or corners...or mountain bike trails.

Looks like a good time. I've ridden Ceasar Creek SP many times, and the riders from CORA have done a great job with the trails lately. They've built some shore-ish stuff at East Fork SP recently... Have you ridden it?

No offense to you or your buddy's relationship with ODNR staffers/park officer co-workers, but the decision to modify trail or construct technical trail features isn't up to you or them. It's up to the park manager and the mountain bike advocacy organization that stewards the trails.

I apologize if I'm assuming you aren't working with CORA, but MTB access to Ceasar Creek (as well as countless other ODNR properties and local park systems in Ohio) has been threatened repeatedly because mountain bikers aren't working together and coordinating with each other on trail access, stunt construction, etc.

    PM me, dood.

We've spoken with the manager as well.
