Thread: Smells like winter..

    This morning I put on a sweatshirt for the first time in six weeks.

    On the way to work I thought about what kind of knit hat I'd like for the winter.

    While it never really leaves us, these subltle premonitions are comforting reminders of its return.

    Love that smell It just takes a little bit longer for it to happen here in NC

    I havent had that smell yet. I will say this with joyful smile on my face in the fall all the time. When I say this to my non skiing friends they look at me as if I just got of the shortbus.

    Hmmmmmm, boys who smell like snow. [/moment of happy silence.]

    It was 42 degrees here last night, 32 on the hill yesterday morning and the mosquitos seem to have disappeared suddenly the way they do when there's a big temperature drop. The vine maple in my back yard that's always the first to change is going off. Check this out (from this a.m.):

    there was a skiff of snow on the peaks in and around whistler, rogers pass and the rockies on sunday/monday. Winter is coming!
