All I know is that the test models (and therefore all the early photos) were only in size 25 or 26, so that is what the web photos are all from. The full size run of Aero 4's just hit the country last week, so that's why Lou just got his.

Re: the questions on the Scarpa Spirit that someone posted, these models are not yet delivered anywhere, nor are the Tornados expected anywhere before the end of the year. The Euros have a different design/build/deliver cycle than the US and just because there are photos doesn't mean there are boots.

While i will not rule out completely my need to wear a tennis helmet and refrain from posting opinions on gear, I stand by my first person account that these Dynafit Freeride Aeros do not match up well with Garmont Mega Rides in terms of stiffness, let alone a Scarpa Denali, Adrenaline etc. Sanjuan skier and Lou Daswon and I appear to have vastly different opinions on the same piece of plastic. I realize my opinion doesn't stack up very well vs. at least one of those names, but I'm pretty sure I ski at least as hard as Lou and sanjuaner, if not in nearly as many bad ass places and not currently as often --lucky bastards.

So, if i order spirit 3s from Telemark-pyrenees, you don't think I will get them until February anyway? Only one way to find that out I guess. I do have an email in to Telemark Pyrennes on this whole debate, so I'll post again when I hear from them. My experience with them in the past is that they are incredibly helpful.

interesting difference of opinions on the dynafit freeride. after reading lou's blurb about them, i was about convinced i needed a pair. i've been using beefed up megarides for the last year. incidentally, the are very easy to beef up by simply buying the same size denali xt/tt tongue which fits great. how was the liner on the new dynafits? is it a thermomoldable liner with a tongue? did it seem beefy? i cant stand the g-fit liners. ive tried them a couple times then end up selling them, theyve been replaced by scarpa liners most recently.

sanjuaner- are you regularly skiing on the dynafit freeride 10.0s? whats the story with them? i just saw a pair for the first time, really light and stiff, stiffer than my havocs.

anyways, i will be interested to hear more opinions on both the dynafit freeride boots and skis. i've got government school loan money that needs to be spent on something not education related!

    Bollocks.

We have the pictures and the boots...

    Tornados were nice.
When the time comes around to replace my alpine boots, they are a strong contender.

The floggings will continue until morale improves.
