I definitely had extra. Lighter pack, bivy, microstove, no primaloft pants could be below 50lbs

How many lives left in this cat? One there for sure gone.

I’ve lost more than a few myself.

Never had seen any of these then was sick for a couple weeks and binged.

But honestly on that first turn filmed on that upper couloir, I could see it coming. Jumped out of my seat and said, “climb back up now!” And said to my wife “Danger Danger!”

    Good shows!

The giant slide that split the Ridgeline, stepped down 4-5 feet and flushed where we were stuck above the exposure went about 1.5 hours after we were in the bottom of it. It pretty much all started raining down the moment we got to a high point. It's rare you get reinforcement to your opinion of "this is fucked we gotta get outta here" in the mountains. That was one of those rare moments. It was honestly pretty terrifying. The ground was shaking and it sounded like a airliner flying 50 feet off the deck when it was happening.

At $21K right now. It has a few features that people in the comments are not fans of.

Reading Twight's Extreme Alpinism back in the early 00's was transformative for me. I wasn't nearly as rad as him, but it made me realize how the moment you PLAN to overnight your gear increases by a significant amount that slows you down and makes you less comfortable.

When you're not carrying so much extra weight, many possibilities open up.

Plus, I'm not really sleeping well in those conditions anyway, so I'd rather sleep in my own bed as much as possible.

While it will be a long time until we see the video, I'm already looking forward to it.

Could you imagine waking up in the middle of the night and sitting up with those cabinets right over your head? After you knock yourself out the rest of your sleep will be pretty sound.

As a German car mechanic in Tahoe area, I've worked on more camper converted Sprinters than I can count. They mostly suck for almost everything. If you're single, no kids, I could make it fly. With a family? Hell no. And at those prices?? I have a small (18') 4-season trailer. I paid $18k for it. Even new, I'd be into that and my Ram 2500 CTD for far less than $130k. It can go anywhere a Sprinter can and be vastly more comfortable/versatile.

If I did a Sprinter it would be 100% a ski resort mobile. Diesel heater, space to change, small hot plate and maybe a bed to lounge on. No full kitchen. A real back seat for my kids.

    Sorry... rambling on, here.
