Prophet 2k Maiden Voyage, Kind of

after many weeks of deciding on a bike, ordering, waiting, waiting, waiting, assembling, and painting my roommate's house...... my fancy new bike had it's maiden voyage last night.

    it went something like this:

Altachic says lets ride the quarry trail on wednesday. Then Xover says are you guys nuts its hot as hell. So Altachic says ok we should go to Alta instead. So i says OK. So we head up LCC after work, up the dusty summer road and park near the campground. Altachic says we should ride the Castle Trail. So i says OK. So we head up this dirt road and Altachic searches for familar landmarks. I search for treads in the dirt, some signs of others coming this way. We take a right up someone's driveway and see a hill dropping into a stream and another road on the otherside. So we ride down the hill and cross the stream. We look up the new road and see part of it has turned into a waterfall from the excessive snow melting above, but forge on. Altachic says at least we can be adventurous and i says dude i like your style. So we come to a semi clearing and see down trees and massive avie debris (from that huge east castle slide) and snow above. We ride around and Lo-AND-BEHOLD A TRAIL! A TRAIL! WE FOUND THE TRAIL! But 20 feet later there are two medium sized trees laying across the trail and 20 feet after that there are 2 much larger trees laying across the trail and 2 feet after that the trail is burried in snow. oh. Shut down in late july!

One of the best rides i've ever been on

Yeah, we got shutdown...i did not realize just how much snow there actually is up there, it's nuts. We hike a biked for a while, crossed streams, rode and then finally put our bikes down and just hiked up a ways.

I have to say it was absolutely beautiful up there despite the foiled bike ride.

yes, painting my roomate's new house (aka, also my new house, but they own it)

I got the medium sized frame (i was suppose to get a small frame but there was a slight mis-communication between myself and my "hook-up." But i will make it work, the standover clearance is almost non-existant, but everything else i think i can adjust to fit right)

and oh yeah,i went for the RAW! i just look at my bike and think, mmm, damn, that is one hot piece of ass!

(does that come off sounding weird?)

this thing looks WAY more rad in person
