Obviously this is all relative. I mean, on the one end are the coloradans, saying "I pay $200 for a ten resort season pass" on the other end, we've got that alta/bird regulars saying "I pay $1200 for my season pass, what are you bitchin about?" Just seems to me that a 20% jump is kind of a lot, especially since it's obviously for the new quad (debatable, but I don't think it really helped anything...) and the new cafeteria (who needs that shit?) I just wish Alta would stick to its guns and keep things the way they've always been. Instead they're doing the same things all the other resorts are. Soon we'll have $60 lift tickets there, just like everywhere else.

The term "grand" is American slang from the early 1900s, presumably from the expression "a grand sum of money" to mean $1,000. yes and no. you can tell them that you lost your current out of state dl but your old dl will no longer be valid even if you still have it. try getting a state id and see how long you can pass that off.
