Wait, is Gramps serious? $479 for a season pass sounds pretty fucking good to this cubemonkey who has to shell out 1200 for the altabird combo.

Hmm, under $500 for over 500" and about 150 days of possible skiing. Sounds like a great deal to me. Oh wait, I mean it sounds like a ripoff and nobody should buy passes to Alta this year.

We should be thankful that Altabird isn't as lame as Jackson. $1950 for 4 months of skiing on less snow and no tram! (OK the terrain is pretty good)

didn't even read the rest of this: what a sham...this'll be fun...might as well just close LCC for the whole winter. We're seriously going to have to change the name: Snowbird North? Vail West??

LOL! POTD!!! I needed that laugh!

On the plus side of passes, and at the very least for taking one big one for the team last year in pNW, Alpental's honoring BIG S Passes from 04-05 to be valid for the entire 05-06 season

As if being in college and skiing at Alta weren't already two of the greatest things in life, now you get to do both for under $500! Not a bad setup, dood.

thats what the mailer Connie sent out said:
    Alta Silver Card-UTAH RESIDENTS ONLY
    $99

Receive a $20 discount on an adult all area day pass each time the card is presented. The card is transferable, but can only be used once per day. Residents must present a Utah Drivers license to be issued a card. Whoever uses the card on any given day must also show a Utah drivers license. Limited to one card per resident. Not available to season pass holders. Must be purchased by September 29, 2005 or while supplies last.
I had a silver card last year I lent to many mags and out of town friends,

You think that might be just for graduate students, since they don't need as many classes?

They must have lives considering they don't spend all day posting on the internet.

Alta is in a full-on posting orgy until next Winter. Must not be much to do in Utah in the Summer.

I think you mean a tram, twice the vertical and no crowds.
