Alta is now a little less cool...

20% raise in college student passes this season... guess I saw that one coming.

Just to rub it in, there's now a helpful link to the "helicopter skiing" offered by the Texans down the road.

Glad I can pitch in for the new mid-mountain eatery...

Hmm, Alta might lose some of their sell-em-passes-during-their-last-term-then-quickly-pull-their-pass-in-the-new-year customers. Careful Alta, that is a fairly large piece of the pie.

Hurts even more when you just spent $430 on airfare too, eh?

A young Jedi like yourself should be out honing his skills with a new pair of Dynafits anyway.

guess you were just born a few years to late young jedi

on a similar note, nice to see they didn't raise the regular pass price at all, when the Bonar's down the street thought it'd be cool to increase by a cool G just to pay for their friggin tunnel and Hidden Peak grease pit.

If mile 7 to mile 8 of Highway 210 ceased to exist sometime in the near future, it wouldn't hurt my feelings any.

BTW, 2:30 TH?? Go drink some more Starbucks quadruple xpresso.

What's the going rate these days?

That is what is nice about CO. I can get a WP/MJ and Copper Mtn pass for like three fiddy.

Well, there's no arguing that Colorado season pass holders get deals on a level that would makes us Utahns drool.

$480 for a college student Alta pass this year, 72Twenty.

There's also no arguing that Utahns get a deal on reDONKulously good snow that would make Coloraddyans poo their pants.

i think they only went up 100 bucks. $1,000 is a huge step and I doubt they'd sell very many passes.

Snowbird is a different place and it takes a versatile skier. I held alta above snowbird for too long but i wasn't that good of a skier back then.

    Help?

Bleh, has this always been in the fine print "Must be a student throughout the 2005-2006 ski season."? Do they not issue until you have a spring schedule?

Putting a dent in my plans...

Just as long as it comes back when Alta closes and you want to ride the Bird, right?

If Alta had a dick, would you suck it?

As long as your graduation date doesn't say "December 2005" you should be fine. They verify your enrollment for fall term and then check again after New Years....

You have to be a full time student throughout the entire season...i've had 3 friends get their passes pulled because they only had like, 8-10 hours during the spring.

    They hound student pass holders.

you have to pay ~$200-$250 extra. that is assuming it is the same as those that start registered and don't rereg for the spring.

sounds like she could pull off the psuedo fall registration and fall back on her actual spring registration for when they really start squeezing the students.

I heard this year they're not putting a limit on the number of hours you have to take. Ask CS, he told me so of course it's true.

I think Alta's rad and have fun when I ski there. It's just silly to buy a split pass or ride the Bird and then dis it like X did.

Though I guess X and I are junking up Gramp's thread. Sorry, duder.

oops, thanx for the correction APD, meant too type a cool "hundy" not "G"

oh, and ya frizzle de schnizzle, if we got snow guaranteed every year like last year I wouldn't hesitate to perform one dick sucking of Alta or Ullr for what we had last season .... just as long as I didn't have to swallow

regardless of ut or co, still a small price to pay for lift served skiing for all you lazy lift served fat asses if ya ask me

now go back to your couches and drink more beer

p.s. i like "dissing" the bird cause it always get's frizzies panties in a wad that backcuntry store job must really be stressing you out this summer
