Quick question: Am I crazy to sell my WC108 and buy this year’s heavier OGWC? Anyone have experience skiing both versions of the WC care to weigh in? I have a mantra M5 as my low tide groomer ripper.

I feel like the heavier, fatter OGWC will either be so much better on Pow/Chop while also having almost all of the great quick pivot/maneuverability of the WC108 or......it will perform the same or slightly better in pow/chop and just feel heavier and more sluggish.

The WC108 is fun in a few inches of snow but it’s not ideal on big snow days, especially when trying to rip through chop.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

^^In a similar vein (same same but different), if anyone's looking to unload the lighter version (2019 or 2020) of the 190 Deathwish or 190 Wildcat, let me know.

I’d differentiate further and go Chipotle Banana or similar if looking for pow performance. Big cat is good, but others are better.

    This.
The CB and WC 108 would be a perfect 2 ski quiver in my mind.

Finally was able to get out on the new DWT(184) Absolutely awesome. Not anything new to those that know but great pivot, really quick edge to edge. More than stable enough for how I ski, and compared to what I was coming off (17/18 Camox Freebird) way more damp and planted despite being the same weight and length.

I kept wanting to go harder and faster.

Excellent balance on the uphill as well. Just a phenomenal ski.

I just want to say that being able to get first day of the season on my 118 WCs(2019) at Wolf Creek Monday was one of the best experiences of my skiing career.

Yes, I had multiple days in them last season, but being able to pull them out after 5 months off and shred 2’+ of cold gnar on your first run...wooo!

I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy the new one. I have last years 190 posted in the pic below. Would entertain selling it.

Hahah! Is there a Blister review for the CB? I can’t do anything without Luke and Jon signing off!!!

i kinda really want to run a quiver like this:

    Mantra M5
    **100-108 playful/fun ski**
    OGWC

hence why I’m thinking of unloading the WC108. Or I keep it and run the Balckops Gamer?

Did all the skis basically get added weight to them this year?

WC116 is forsure heavier and Moment is saying that, but WC101 is 200gs heavier than last years?(yay!) and the WC108 100g’s? Deathwish 100g’s?

Doesn’t he just say they are unchanged mostly? I guess I’ll re-listen

I believe he says changes to the sidewall and cap construction added weight.

Changes to the cores, new sidewalls account for the difference in weight for the most part.

Touring lineup gained a bit of weight over last year too Maybe 80-100g nothing major,

But yeah the new materials I believe is the lion's share of it.

Last season i had both, skied about 60+ (20 resort and the rest in the bc) days on the 108 and preferred the dampness over the OG. So this year I replaced the OG with the new layup assuming it’ll be as awesome as the 108 with a little more float for deeper days.

Didn’t finish my thought before I posted it. My answer would be to keep the 108, I think the 108 is the best ski in moments line up for a playful do it all ski in up to boot deep fresh.

Sorta glad the 186 Ghost Train sold out. I keep wanting to buy them, and then remembering that I really don't need them, and then fighting an emotional battle back and forth in my mind. So that temptation is gone now. Still a DW boy.

Got any frankenski reps yet? I’m basically doing all of my firm snow days on a really old PBJ that I love, but...man...on paper the frankenski is just irresistible.

Center mount, dirty moustache, buttery tips and tails without a pathetically short radius. I also like a waist closer to 100 than 90...

    I don’t think I’d design a firm day/park ski any differently.
